I want to save that light
Quite a strange boy, Ciaran O'Reilly is quiet and shy, partly due to him being homeschooled all of his life and not socialising with anyone his age. He comes from a rich Irish family in Derry and is an only child, which doesn't help his social abilities - or lack thereof.
The 11-Year-Old is Bioluminescent - he glows in the dark - but he finds it more of a nuisance than a help. He goes to a lot of effort to keep his power secret, which is tricky because whenever he goes into shadow his skin turns blue. Another thing he tries to keep secret is his intelligence: he's very bright, especially for his age. This is a little easier to keep a secret, as he doesn't answer questions in class or do anything else that would draw attention to himself.
Wanted
Friendships
Ciaran's social life isn't great. He doesn't know many people and even fewer are actually friends. Anyone who can try and get him out of his shell and befriend him feel free to try, but he might be a bit antisocial.
Romance
Ciaran is a little too young for Romance. He is, however, extremely cute, just not in that way.
Mentor
A trainer or other teacher that can get on good terms with Ciaran would be greatly appreciated. Again, something to get him out of his shell, help grow his confidence. His power doesn't really lend itself to training, but that's still an option, as is the mundane subjects.
Other
I've kind of got it pictured in my head that an older teenager would take Ciaran under his/her wing. It's not a priority, I just like the idea of it.

Confident, borderline arrogant, Zac is highly competitive. Whether it's Football, Hockey or a game of Monopoly, he'll get stuck in and overly excited about things. He's good at sports, but is a terrible loser and a pretty bad winner as well. Generally that means that people don't like to play anything against or with him.
Zac has Substance Mimicry. Whenever he touches something, whether it be a brick wall or a tree, he will probably turn into that material. It's only probably because it's very unpredictable. Sometimes his whole body will change into whatever he was touching, sometimes nothing will happen and other times just his thumb will change. Occasionally he can do it at will, but that's only if he's completely calm and collected, something he's usually not.

Friendships
Zac is pretty easy to make friends with, as long as you don't play Ice Hockey with him. He's got a good sense of humour and is usually open to meeting new people.
Romance
Zac is a terrible boyfriend. He gets bored easily, so his relationships tend to be short. But his passion in sports comes through in his romance. He's more than open to a girlfriend, if you don't mind getting your heart broken.
Mentor
A trainer is very important. Zac's power is very unreliable and he's coming quite close to graduation, so he really needs to learn to control it. Any mentor or teacher is very much appreciated.
