Rushing and racing, and running in circles
Moving so fast, I'm forgetting my purpose
Blur of the traffic is sending me spinning, getting nowhere
My head and my heart are colliding, chaotic
Pace of the world, I just wish I could stop it
Try to appear like I've got it together, I'm falling apart
Moving so fast, I'm forgetting my purpose
Blur of the traffic is sending me spinning, getting nowhere
My head and my heart are colliding, chaotic
Pace of the world, I just wish I could stop it
Try to appear like I've got it together, I'm falling apart
The lyrics had been swirling around in her mind day after day and eventually after finally being given the time, she decided to put together the choreography she more or less came up with in her mind. This was a good way to see if it even flowed smoothly. If it didn't, she was taking it to Adrianna and would have the older college girl help her out. The song held a lot of meaning to her and coming from the artist that it did, well she couldn't stop listening to it. The emotion behind the song wasn't painful, it wasn't sad, it was understandable, it was so easy to relate to and over all, she was just in love with the song more than she was with anything else at the moment.
As she entered the auditorium, she gave a good thorough glance around and headed for the stage once the coast was clear. Not that it bothered her when people saw her dance, but having them watch was different than running into them beforehand and being forced to make small talk. She wasn't so good at that part. It was a work in progress though. She had friends somehow that were capable of helping her get out of this awkward little shell of hers and it had been working pretty fantastically. Elisia found that she could hold conversations in class now and even make a few funny remarks that people laughed at. But she was still that quiet wallflower that stuck to the middle and would rather be lost in a crowd than put as the center of attention.
It was different when she danced though. She felt comfortable when she danced and she didn't mind being the center of attention then. As her fathers always said 'she was born to stand out, but trying to blend in.' Though they didn't seem to understand why she did it. In reality, she just had this intense fear of people realizing that she wasn't as normal as everyone might mistake her for. She was a little weird. And she didn't like talking about herself because that led to talking about family and the fact that her parents divorced because her father found another man and how her mother was never part of her life and yadda yadda yadda, she just preferred to ignore that stuff.
Ellie shook out her cooled off muscles and started stretching out real well before she turned on the music and started her in progress routine
