Walk, Walk, Fashion, Baby (Modeling Competitors + Friends)

((This thread is open to all who entered the modeling competition a few months back, not just the winners:  Jade Parrish, Carleigh Davidson, Gryphon Matsuoka, Rain Tseung, Madison Davis, Cameron Osiris, Eloise Eaton, Salem Hirch, Thomas "Monroe" Montgomery, Joshua Bernstein, Genesis Kyland.  Friends are welcome to come and watch as well.  The winners are receiving their own individual photoshoots, while the others who competed and didn't win will get their own group photos taken as thanks for their participation.  For now, feel free to just have everyone mingle and chat and brag if they wish xD  Have fun, and please PM me if you have any questions!))

Kai was pleased with himself.  This entire project that he'd taken on had gotten more participation than he had anticipated - and even some he hadn't anticipated at all.  The submission of a man not only well over the age limit for the competition, but also someone who was quite well-known for his campaign in Pilot Ridge, was a complete surprise.  Kai almost wished he'd won; it would have been quite entertaining.

But, the four winners had been chosen from the pool that had entered:  Among the ladies, Madison Davis and Eloise Eaton, both beautiful young women who would work wonderfully for the image that From the Spectrum was trying to convey.  And for the men, Monroe Montgomery and Salem Hirch, the former of which had an... Interesting application, to say the least.  Still, he definitely had the appeal they were looking for, as did Salem, which was why they had received the honor of having their own individual photoshoots for the shop.

There were plenty of other great submissions, though, and Kai was glad that he'd been allowed to give those that didn't win a short series of their own group shots together to have a special place on the wall of the store.  

He meandered around, chatting up the winners and competitors, as well as any friends they might have brought along to watch and tease.  It was all quite fun and relaxed - at the moment, the models were getting their makeup done and clothes picked out.  There were racks and racks of different items to choose from - all from the shop's inventory, of course - and those getting their pictures done had full range of what they chose to wear.  

There wasn't a lot of pressure; this was meant to be enjoyable for everyone, because that meant that the photos they took would be that much more believable!

Kai found a place to lean against near the area where those who were picking out their outfits could come and talk to him if they wanted any advice or needed any questions answered.  Otherwise, he would just stand and watch this great project unfold around him.

[Salem Hirch]

"Tony...getting....slow...painful...agonizing....death...", Salem thought as he fidgeted in the makeup chair. Even the thought of having Monroe around wasn't helping his mood at all, this was definitely not his happy place. Sadly, there wasn't much he could do about it. Through some sick twist of fate, the blonde boy had won the competition. In his mind it was some sort of cruel joke that fate had decided to play on him. Well, that and the coaxing of his best friend.

It was true that on the inside Salem was almost furious, he had made a promise to Tony, that if he won, he would go through with it. So, there he set, having gunk of all kinds smeared on his face, his hair pulled and twisted; more product added to his hair, and then it was over. It honestly maybe took a few moments, but to him it was a lifetime. Glancing in a nearby mirror, he cringed a bit. The boy staring back looked nothing like himself. Wrinkling his nose, he thought, "I look like I'm made of plastic."

Looking around to make sure no one would notice, he shook some of the stuff out of his hair so it at least felt normal, then he headed to the clothes. He walked up and down the racks slowly, trying his best to find something, anything, that he would feel comfortable wearing. It seemed like a lost cause and he sighed deeply. Picking out new clothes at a store was hard enough, but this, this was just insanity. With another wrinkle of his nose, he shrugged and looked around for something to drink. His mouth was dry and it was partially an excuse to get away from the madness for a moment.

He finally spotted a soda machine in a far corner and started to make his way to it, as casually as possible of course. All the while hoping his powers didn't kick in, or that he would space out. Which of course he was as he walked and thought to himself. 

[Eloise Eaton]

This could easily have been the most exciting day of Eloise's life so far. Better than any vacation or move or happening. When El signed up for the competition, she didn't set her hopes to high - believing that a high number of people would likely enter, and her chances would be slim. The fact that she hadn't been in Pilot Ridge long, and therefore didn't have a following of people to vote for her waned her hopes even more. However here she was, one of the winners. Getting ready for a real photoshoot.

She excitedly looked through the racks of clothes, picking out some things that she liked, taking suggestions from the photographers and employees, soaking up every moment like it was going to be taken away from her any second. (For a while she thought it may be a dream. After all, Monroe was there. But he explained to her that he was entered as a prank and actually won. El wasn't sure how she felt about that)

She changed into yellow skirt and a black leather jacket at the request of one of the photographers. Her hair had been straightened and teased slightly for the moment, her makeup done just so. She honestly felt fabulous.

She loved the store too. Part of her wanted to ask for an application... she would totally be ok working there for the next year or so. Not that she needed a job. But if she were going to keep herself busy, working at From the Spectrum would be a great way to do it. Plus it would be cool seeing people react to the fact that her pictures are up on the wall as she's ringing them up, or helping them with fittings.
