Caelum was bored, with a capital B. All his housemates were either at work or school or possibly just busy with other things, and it was his day off from everything. He would have cleaned the house for everyone, if Adonis wasn't lurking in there somewhere. So, he decided on the next best thing; a trip to the lake. Fumbling to get dressed, he put on a tank top and ripped jeans, followed by some flip flops. Normally he wouldn't wear them, but he planned on spending most of the day in the air, so shoes were not a priority. Climbing out his window in the attic, he stretched his wings wide and smiled. The air felt glorious as it rustled the soft hairs on his wings, causing them to flap a little. This was his happy place. 

Without another thought, he flapped his wings hard for a moment and jumped. He caught the wind with just enough force to glide him most of the way to his destination. A soft thud signaled his arrival on the road that led to the lake, he didn't see anyone around, so he stretched his wings wide before laying them against his back. It almost looked as though he had a bright green beach towel draped over shoulders. Caelum smiled and basked in the sunlight as he strolled, in no hurry at all. He turns and starts bouncing down the path backwards and one foot. 

All the while, whistling a happy little song and just enjoying life. Eventually he started making it closer to the lake and turned. The air off the water smelled great, and the trees were just far enough apart for him to fly through if he wanted. Smirking, he turned around and continued his semi-skipping down the bath.

He was minding his own business as per usual and held a book in front of his face as he held a drink in one hand and a sandwich in the other. He took bites from the sandwich despite not being hungry but it kind of subdued the headache that accompanied his ability a bit. It wasn't as though objects like books did anything real harmful to him, it was just that he never really shook the fact he got a slight headache when using telekinesis.

He wedged the rest of the sandwich in his mouth and flipped the page of the book with 1 finger. He read the first sentence, veins of lightning lit the clouds, dancing whips of white-hot energy illuminating the midnight sky, as he noted a something fly over the building he was sitting in front. It didn't hamper his focus as it was an every day deal to see people flying around. Hell, he had a roomie that could do that.

..he put the book down and got up to his feet. Could it? He left the book behind, he'd just buy another copy later, and followed the silhoutte he saw in the sky. He chugged what was left of his drink -brainfreeze- and telekinetically threw it in the trash as he stumbled forward in the same direction of what he saw above him.

He grunted as he came up to the path leading to the lake and noticed someone he knew skipping down the path.

''Yo Cale!'' Jay yelled. He wasn't all that big on words.

Flapping his wings with each little hop, Caelum was sending a little dirt into the air with each step. The particles sort of shimmered in the sunlight and for some reason, it made him smile. He started to hum his favorite song very loudly and kept his skipping. Until it was disrupted by someone calling his name, and not just any someone, but Jayson. He put on a big grin and looked up. Just as he thought, there was Jay; walking towards him. This was a welcome site, seeing as he thought he wouldn't run into his roomies today. Let alone the cute one. 

Given a gentle push to his wings, Caelum glided over this his long time friend and stopped right in front of him. "Hey there Stud Muffin!" He leaned in and gave Jayson a quick little hug. "What are you doing out here? I thought all you guys were busy today." In the back of his mind Caelum was itching to play a prank on Jay. It would be so easy to just pants him right there, but that was to easy. Maybe he'd wait until later. For now, he just put on his sheepish little grin. A grin that tried to come across as sweet and innocent, but just made him look like a fox planning something.

''Stud.. muffin?'' Jay said as he pretty much endured a way too intimate guyhug. ''We're doing nicknames again?''

As silent as he usually was, Cale was one of the few people that could get him to speak up due to both knowing the other for a long time now. It didn't really matter that Caelum had a small crush on Jay, if that was even still going on. For friends Jay would step on legos willingly if asked, so a small crush was only to be expected. From a guy it was less expected, but Jay had no intentions of judging anyone.

He shrugged. ''I came out here because I saw a something fly by.'' He looked to the side of Cale and pointed at the wings draped across his back. ''And you fly. 1 and 1 equals 2, bro.''

He sighed as he looked at Caelum looking at him with a badly hidden grin hinting at something Jay just knew he wouldn't like. ''Pull a prank, I dare you.'' He taunted, and his face took a few seconds to change from serious to a smile as he slapped Cale on his shoulder.

"Duh...I always call you guys nicknames." Caelum added and ruffled Jay's hair a little. Okay, so Caelum wasn't the most mature of their little group, but it didn't really matter to him. As far as his friends knew anyway. So maybe the thought of not being taken seriously when he was older bothered him a little, but he could deal with it.

"Well since you're here, I guess I can walk like you peasants. If you want to walk with me?" He smiled and bounced a little beside the other male. Of course he knew Jay would catch the devious smile, they had known each other for a long time after all. This however did no deter Caelum from pulling any kind of prank whenever he felt like.

"Oh, It's no fun when you see it coming Jay." He beamed and nudged his friend to start walking as he did. His original plans of flying all day were long forgotten and he was happy to have company. Making a mental note to tell Rayne, he went on a date with her....significant other? He was never really sure, since he couldn't really remember a time when they said boyfriend or girlfriend. Not that it mattered to him, but still.

"So, anything new or exciting happening in your life? Not that I wouldn't know already, but still." He chuckled softly and bounced to one foot.

''Dude!'' He exclaimed as he ran a hand through his hair. Jayson was a bit too vain when it came to his hair, and kind of afraid to admit so, though it was likely pretty obvious for everyone around him.

''Maybe.'' He replied as Cale mentioned walking with him like a peasant. Jay knew how he meant it, but something about being called a peasant felt.. off. He felt like he needed to remind Cale he could hit him from about any angle and he wouldn't know, but as he used his power quite a lot he was sure his small circle of friends knew what he was capable of. He would tell people to watch out or they'd be punched or something, but he would never really punch anyone.

He was prodded along and started walking with his buddy, smiling at the fact that no matter how his day was Cale could always find and emphasize on the happy note. ''Not long before I see everything you do coming.'' He replied with yet another slap to the shoulder of his friend. ''You're beginning to be a bit predictable.'' He joked. Obviously he wasn't, but that didn't matter.

Anything new and exciting.. Jay wondered. There was this one thing, but seeing how Cale hung out with Rayne he wa s pretty sure he knew about it already.

Trying to remain upright, he walked on one foot next to Jay. Bouncing along happily. Truth be told, he was probably the most comfortable around Jayson out of all his friends. Caelum didn't have to worry about trying to hard to make the other guy smile and in many ways he gave Jay the most respect. Sure, he was a bit to serious for the fairy of mischief, but Jay was so well put together and mature. Sometimes it made him a little jealous of his friend, but it was nothing serious and he knew it was stupid to be jealous.

Normally he would moved a little bit away to avoid the possibility of his wings being hit, but it was too late. Caelum felt the breeze from Jayson's hand, just fast enough to move his wing out of the way. Though, maybe he should have just bare a quick moment of pain, because Jayson's fingers grazed the area of his wing that met his shoulder. A light touch that sent good chills through him. This was not something he wanted, and surely didn't want Jay to notice. Even though his cheeks were pink, he shook his head and laughed.

"I'm not getting predictable!" He shouted very suddenly and very loudly. Knowing full well that would probably startle his dear telekinetic friend and he wondered what random object from the surrounding forest would be thrown at him. In these cases it would usually be a pinecone. Hoping Jay would forget he continued to talk. "Nothing new huh?" Caelum spoke softer, but a with an impish grin on his face.

"I hate to 'Rayne' on your parade there Jay, but I know that's not true." He chuckled and watched his friend out of the corner of his eye.

Caelum mentioned not getting predictable, and there was truth to be found in this statement as the volume of the voice took Jay by surprise. He widened his eyes very suddenly and clenched his fist, and somewhere near them a loud crunch could be heard.

He looked at his friend with eyes that said 'really?' and smiled. Cale quickly continued talking, probably to make Jay forget about the sudden burst of volume from him, which, truth be told didn't help his case all that much. Being told you were predictable and saying you weren't several seconds after it was said? Jay rolled his eyes mentally.

Cale then hinted at Rayne, probably, Jay wasn't too sure but everything was a bit 'Rayne-y' to him at the moment, and looked at him from the side, continuing to keep a straight face. Jay was sure at this point that Cale knew about what happened, though with this guy you could never be too sure.

Caelum heard the crunch in the woods and knew what it was. He felt a tinge of guilt at the thought that he was the reason for the flair in Jay's powers. Granted, it wasn't the first time, but when he really hadn't meant to he did feel bad. Glancing over he saw the look on the other guy's face and chuckled softly. So, maybe his friend knew that he was covering something up. Oh well, such was life, right?

The tone and the odd string of words that Jayson then put together, let him know he had hit his mark and a cheshire cat grin spread on his face. "Oh please Jay. I'm Rayne's Gay best friend. Did you think she was gonna keep that from me?" He chuckled again and shook his head. "Don't go all weird about it though. I think you two are gonna make a cute couple." Caelum turns and walks a few feet away, just walking faster in general. Smirking at his own Cupid like self.

''Yes, I did think she was going to keep that from you.'' Jay said unexpectedly, but only to tease Cale back. In truth, it was the best thing that had ever happened to him. Aside from him meeting Rayne of course.

He grinned at the mention of them making a cute couple. He knew that already. Rayne could make anyone cute. Jayson slapped his friend on the shoulder as they continued walking. As they passed a tree he broke off a branch and began to levitate it slightly above his hand to keep his mind focused.

''I don't know.'' Jay sighed and shook his head with a concealed smile.
''You better get used to Rayne liking me more than you, man.''

He rolled his eyes at Jay's sad attempt to tease. The other boy had never really been good at it, well at least when it came to teasing Caelum. Other than that, he didn't really know how Jay was around his other friends. "Please, that girl couldn't keep a secret from me if her life depended on it." The trickster giggled.

This time, he luckily saw the hand coming and moved his wing out of the way in time, but damn his fingertips just grazed another spot. Terrific. Caelum was happy to see that Jay was occupying himself with a tree branch and didn't notice the inadvertent flush, he had caused to Caelum's cheeks. Rolling his eyes again, he turned backwards so the next slap would hopefully be on the front of his shoulder.

"Oh, is that so?" Raising an eyebrow he looked at him with a smirk. "Just remember, boy toys come and go, but gay best friends are forever." Even teasing he hoped Jay didn't get upset by the comment.
