Mychal loved the library at Hammel, it felt like much more than a library here. It had the usual things that a library had of course; books on shelves namely, but it also held a sense of something more, it felt almost magical to him. He didn't know why, that's just the feeling he got whenever he entered this place. The gigantic victorian looking library housing it's thousands upon thousands of books, each and every one designed to tell a different story, all with their own lessons to be taught. Both normal and meta authors alike lined these shelves, he could almost feel their voices speaking to him through those covers.
He wasn't here for any particular reason this day, he just felt like touring the library, and seeing what more it had to offer. Up until now he hadn't spent much time in this place, but he was rectifying that mistake now. Libraries have always been somewhat of a sacred place to Mychal over the years, and it was always the fantasy and science fictions sections that caught his eye most. The fantastical worlds that the authors created out of their imaginations never ceased to amaze him. Mychal could stay up for hours on end doing nothing more than reading, he had done that before; immersing himself in worlds where dragons roamed the lands, or voyages into space took perilous turns. He never could seem to get enough of the fictional tales these authors could dream up, and now it was even better, because he himself was in a sort of fictional world now. At least that was how he had viewed it until his own powers had activated. It had never felt completely real to him, meta-humans and the world that went along with them; he had seen them on tv, and heard of them, but had never personally came in contact with any meta-humans, so of course this world felt fake to him before.
He had been walking along a shelf in the fantasy section, and stopped when he noticed a familiar title. Mychal reached for and pulled the book from it's shelf, and then ran his fingers along the title "Heir of Stone". It was the third book in the Cloudmages trilogy, and was by far his favorite of the three. Taking the book with him he walked over to one of the comfy plush chairs in the lounge area. He sat down and opened the book to his absolute favorite part, and began to read it again for the fourth time.
The words still gave chills to him as he read them, this author truly was talented, how else could he get chills from reading something over a fourth time? 'Man that would be awesome if I could do that.' He thought after reading the familiar section, a crooked grin appearing on his face.
