It had been about a month since their date, and Luke and Karalie had been on a few others since. Being in the same school helped lots with seeing each other often, the boy often found himself in the room of his girlfriend, listening to what her day was like or things about her parents, or the very chuckle-worthy way she spoke about her roommate and her girlfriend. Perhaps it was a guy thing to do, but Luke liked the idea of two women together. But since he was with Karalie and had noted her reaction to it that was a no-go.
That didn't stop him from conversing with her roommate though, Penelope something or other. She seemed nice, though a bit stiff. But hey, there was someone who liked her! And though he had only caught glimps of her girlfriend and had mainly just the things Karalie had to say in his head he figured Penelope wasn't all that uptight, just neat.
Also, he wondered if Karalie had gotten his hickies. He had found out about the a while ago and was wearing them himself. How friggin easy was it to tie your shoes without having to use your hands? And it was that thought that gave him the idea to also give a box of them to Karalie. He eyed his own shoes and the elastic shoelaces that made them simple slip-ons.
He walked into the library where he and Karalie were supposed to meet, he had no idea if she was already there or not but he was not going to raise his voice like the last time in case there was someone like wing-douche in the vicinity.
Luke ran his finger past a few shelves and looked at the great multitude of books they had available. He figured this could very well be the first time he had actually taken time to explore the library as it was pretty much just a painful memory to him, but he hoped that with Karalie things would be different. He silently smiled as his finger paused on a book titled ''Natural bust enlargement with total mind power''. Probably a book some other student left as a joke, or as something he (or she) seriously wanted to check out in case it held some truth. Because, you know, mind powers were a thing on Hammel. His finger slid past the book as he figured Karalie didn't need any enlarging to happen. Not on his account anyway.
He held his finger at another book that most likely did belong to the school. ''The Picture of Dorian Gray''. He knew that book, knew in the sense of having seen the movie about it and caught himself being pretty intrigued by it. The concept with interesting. He took the book from the shelf and put it down softly on one of the tables as he sat down and opened the book.
