Corbin almost grinned when Chassy admitted that it was fun being scooped up like she had been.. but then she nearly made Corbin go a bit white. Her feet were fine because she showered.. and they probably werent even bleeding anymore. Oh, hell no. That shit was getting looked at. But Corbin just kept walking as he stifled a shudder and she continued. This demon dog was apparently six foot tall or better.. hopefully on it's back legs and not on all fours.. cause holy crap. She'd used her power? .. which was what? ..And took her shoes off so she could run without it hearing her. And then she was getting closer to him.. and it looked like she was genuinely a bit freaked out.
Corbin.. well.. closed the distance and put an arm on her shoulder, taking a look around as he did. "So you blinded it? Is that what you do? Some sort of luminescent or a sensory manipulator or a biomanipulator? --Look, if you find that thing again, you call me, alright?" Because.. like earlier, when she was vulnerable.. there was something different about Chassy. She was more real. And here she'd subconsciously (at least he assumed subconsciously) gotten closer to Corbin when she started talking about this demon dog. It was real.. and she was genuinely afraid of it.
"I have a my Chevelle, right? No worries. You call me, I'll be there. Guarantee that dog-thing can't hurt me. If you got nobody else, I'll do what I can to protect you.." He grabbed his wallet again, handing Chassy a business card with a logo, his name, address, email, office, fax, and cell numbers.
At this point, though, it was safe to assume that they were basically standing outside of the burger joint.. to finish their conversation before heading inside.
