The meeting was bound to get a little bit heated. It had been decided they were going to keep appearing at events and setting up tables, there was talk of another rally perhaps before the election was to take place. Now all of the decisions for all of that needed to be made. It was going to get heated because there was so much going on, there was the endless campaigning that they were doing to support their candidate. There was advertising on air for PUSE itself and all of it was coming to him, he had never thought running a group like this would be so much work, it was indeed a good thing that he had taken on half time at his law firm. He was glad that Jasmine was going to be here, she would keep everyone level headed with coffee and tea and her home baked goods. It was also telling that they felt that Lesedi had recovered well enough to be left alone for the evening.
There were still several hours before the meeting and Joe was sitting at a table going through his papers and checking and rechecking numbers, laws and procedures. He nibbled on the sandwich that the owner had left for him. There was a great of stress that had been added to this when they'd added the youth group. Joe himself had little time to run it himself and he wasn't sure that the leader should really be an adult. Maybe someone from the college or with enough sense on their shoulders. But Joe had been heading it for some time now and he was finding these youngsters strong in their convictions and fresh with new ideas and far better aptitude about social media than he had. They would be the ones to really spread the word not him. They would share and debate with their peers and they would be the ones to make things happen at a larger scale. He paused for a moment and smiled, they were a great group of kids. Though he knew there were some Hammel students involved. That made him nervous.
The door opened and Joe's brows rose in surprise and suddenly he found himself with a thought. The young man who walked in was one of the youth group, if Joe recalled correctly one of the Hammel students. Why not use this as a way to get into Hammel? Who would be better than a fellow student to share their cause, equality. Equality despite everything, despite powers. After all, who but a fellow meta human would understand the dangers that came with their powers. Joe smiled and once the kid had ordered whatever he would at the counter Joe motioned him over. "Good afternoon, you're one of the new PUSE youth members, aren't you?"
