Macie hadn't been in the bookstore too long, at least not in her opinion. She'd merely looked around for a while and stumbled upon an anthology of British poetry for a few dollars. Needless to say, she'd bought it. It was a good way to spend her free time on a Saturday afternoon. After all, she didn't usually work on Saturdays. Students normally didn't schedule training sessions and Mojo didn't have classes and so she spent her time on Pinterest, reading, cleaning or updating her planner. Most people would not find those activities as a fun way to spend their weekend. Some of it was fun for Macie, but most of it was just necessary to keep her functioning well.
She'd actually chosen to go out on the town, although she wasn't wearing anything special. Just a pair of jeans, a cardigan and sneakers. The usual. It was slightly windy outside and also drizzling rain. She tucked her newly bought book inside her purse and began moving quickly to her car. Her first thought was that she didn't see her car. She saw a rather large delivery truck instead. Biting her lip, she began walking faster, more briskly past the delivery truck where she saw her tiny silver Corolla was blocked in by a delivery truck. She'd only parked at the corner drug store because parking was so limited on the street when she'd gotten there. And now she was blocked in.
