Calling all members! We need your nominations for the Of The Month awards! Have you seen an awesome character lurking the forums? How about a thread you just can’t stop reading? Or a journal you keep coming back to? Nominate it here! We’re looking for nominations for all categories:

Character of the Month – Straightforward. Nominate the character you think deserves it for this month. Who was awesome? Who did something significant? As of now, Bre's, Apollo's, Eddie's, Rae's, Abi's, Jon's, Etch's, and Pam's characters are all off limits, as they’ve won in the past eight months.

Member of the Month – Again, pretty easy, right? Toss up the name of your favorite member. Remember, Deb, Raven, Elsinore, Rae, Apple, Lux, Maggie, and Ophelia are off-limits for nominations. So is everyone on staff.

Relationship of the Month – Anything goes here! Friends, romance, enemies, anything! You cannot nominate:

Thread of the Month – Any and all threads that were started after the last round of OTMs are eligible!

Journal of the Month – We will not be nominating for Journal OTM this month. All eligible journals will be included in the poll in four days. Eligible journals were posted in during the past month and have not won in the past eight months.

Event Thread of the Month – All Power Swap threads that were started after the last round of OTMs are eligible (which is to say all Bad Luck threads started in December.)

All we ask is that you fill out this nifty little code thing for us. Only one nomination per category, per person, ‘kay?

Nomination: Alanna Darlington
Reasons: Once again, I find myself nominating the poor, put upon telepath for Character of the Month. I want people to agree with me about how well-fleshed out Alanna is and how relatable her struggles are.

Nomination: Rain
Reasons: Rain is a new member who only joined earlier this month, but they have hit the ground running. They have gone out of their way to plot and get involved in new threads and open threads. Alexei is also an interesting character, so Rain brings the whole package.

Nomination: Jen Mitchellson and Chassy Trouble - Friends
Reasons: "Here comes trouble." Literally, in the case of Chastity. However, the two of them have a rhythm together wherein they are already off to make mischief, and there will only be more to follow. Partially because they egg each other on.

Nomination: Give me something more
Reasons: This is an important thread for Lucas and Karalie, as well as for anyone in their social circle. They have just broken up, and it is deeply emotional. Ripples will surely follow.

Nomination: Bad Luck: Breaking Inside
Reasons: In what comes as a surprise to nobody, I am nominating a thread between Alanna and Jasper. Alanna drew one of the best Bad Luck prompts, which has to do with uncontrolled power side effects creating a feedback loop, and Faraday is playing it so well. However, the IC effect is to cause Alanna to withdraw, and Jasper simply can't abide by that. Please read and enjoy.

Reasons: First off, she makes character after character with no qualms and brings a new light to each one like she's a major pro. She and I have gotten pretty close, to the point where I'll randomly message her on skype just to chat and she has no issues with it c: I just think she's fun and hardworking with each one of her characters, especially putting up with my faulty muse and a scatter brained XJ. She really deserves some recognition.

Reasons: When Pam joined, Tim and I kind of pounced on her to bring her Karalie into our characters' drama, and I have never regretted this because Pam has not only been a terrific sport about it but also has had a lot of fun and creative contributions to that particular storyline. Also she gave me a cookie recipe once and it was aMAZING

Nomination: Rhea Hartman
Reasons: Tall, strong, confident woman of color who lifts weights and (grudgingly) plays tabletop RPGs. I probably don't have to say any more, but I will: I think Elsinore writes her character beautifully, and there is not a single thread where her voice falls flat. Every post is chock full of thoughtful little details that bring her to life in the mind of the reader.

Reasons: Beautiful prose; distinct characters; intricate personal plot. These two have a lot of phenomenal threads, but I'm a big fan of this one in particular. It's easy to follow, even if you don't do any back reading.

Reasons: I think Em deserves credit for having created characters with physical limitations. She isn't afraid to try them on, and she managed to play them with a lot of respect. Aside from that, her characters are interesting and not the kind you see walking around a lot.

Reasons: Tim has really given him a decent amount of threads ever since he joined. His plots are interesting and there is always something going on, making it fun to follow. Not that it's always fun for Lucas, but hey... He's a nicely developed character, and one who provides others with nice twists and plots.

Nomination: Penny and Lucy Serrano: Feisty Fiancés
Reasons: reading threads with these two is always a roller-coaster, as they never make clear what is going to happen. When I found out Penny had proposed, of all things, I knew that it could have only happened because both Eddie and Sai had felt it happen organically. and it was one hell of a thread.

Lucy and Penny are honestly always so interesting to read. Despite their occasional issues with communication and emotional constipation they both are clearly so in love, and so willing to face all the obstacles that will come at them hand in hand. They also have CRAZY sexual tension in like, every thread, and I've honestly never read the crazy libidos of young people in love handled so realistically.
