Dominique. Dom for short.. They both had such handsome names and she found herself far more interested in him than she had any boy in a while. It wasn't just his looks, but the way he spoke. His lips curved as he spoke of his brother and she had to agree; she was thankful for Dom. Thankful he had been the reason Carter was where he was when she'd met him, thankful that they'd run into each other, thankful that he was on campus today to be around to invite her for coffee. Her lips still tingled from his kiss, and though she tried to keep it out of her mind it was sitting just there below the surface, continuing to make her giddy and warm.
"I'll be sure tuh thank him if ever I get th'opportunity to meet him." She promised with her own slight grin. She wondered how many other people were there in Vermont against their will? Dr. Neville had made it clear that she wasn't really allowed to leave next year and running would be useless. They would find her and she would be under probation. She didn't know what that mean, but she was sure she didn't want to find out. Either way, it made it difficult to not think of Vermont as a sort of prison.
He suddenly switched the conversation back to her and she felt heat the rise to her cheeks once more. Difficult to resist? Her? She could surely point him in the direction of several people who would be quick to disagree. "I don' believe so." What did he mean by that, difficult to resist? Difficult to resist how? Karalie wasn't sure it mattered. She was slowly turning to mush for him. "But I suppose that works out. I don' think I like ya'll tryin' tuh resist me." She flirted, hyper aware of the warmth of his knee against hers. She hated how much she wanted him to kiss her again, but it felt oddly strange there in the cafe.
