''Zo, don't..'' He started out with a sigh as she thanked him for those words. And realy, who was he to argue who she thanked? He even wondered if it would hurt if she didn't thank him, he started to doubt he would. But now that she had said it their whole situation changed, she had opened up to him and though Luke was sure this was just the tip of the iceberg this was an enormous step as it was when he did it himself. He was one step ahead if that was even something to feel competitive about, but all that meant right now was that he could help her. ''Don't thank me, 'kay?'' He alsmost pleaded as he shook his head, her face close to his still. ''I can't change ya. I can just be there for ya.'' Though it could just be that she was thanking him because he was there instead of bailing on her.
He then dropped backward on the bed and looked up at her with a smile, his hands freed up to run through her hair. ''Besides, if yer sad I'd have no one to cheer me up.'' He tried to break the very obvious tension with a teasing joke as one of his index finger brushed across her chest. He knew that even if her mind wasn't in this game at the moment she would gladly jump the escape as they both knew they were equally good at it. Truth was, some distraction could prove good for them, last thing they'd need was another mental breakdown.
''An' if I recall correctly,'' He began with a slight smirk on his face as his finger went up again instead of further down. ''I do believe ya owe me a certain somethin'..'' He circled her lips with his finger, waiting to see what she would do.
