Ughhggh....Brooke didn't wanna be at school today. Why did spring break have to end? Furthermore, why did her stilly(stupid+silly for those of you watching home) teacher have to make an assignment due as soon as they got back from break? Heeeh? Why!? It was just torture, I tell ya! Torture! A power play! Godmodding! Oppression from the institution! This was an outrage!!
College(specifically university) was a lot harder than high school so far. High school, a place where she didn't even have to try to excel and now she felt like everyone was leering at her, wondering why a dummy like Brooke though she could make it through college with the same attitude she had in high school. Old habits die hard, she supposed, and video games were just sooooo much more fun!
Don't get her wrong, it wasn't the coursework which was hard, it was the doing part she didn't like. The assignments she managed to get in(some of them even on time, oh my stars!) were always of the highest quality, of course! But she was getting to the point where she was having to calculate how many assignments she could afford to miss per class on the assumption that her assignments were perfect in order to get a final grade that still enabled her to pass. Last semester was tough. This semester was even tougher. Bleeeeeehheheheh~~
Brooke was at the computer lab, or at least trying to be. The printer back at the Sexy Bitch Haven was out of ink, so Brooke had to book it to campus a whole 30 minutes before class started so she could print out her assignment. Unfortunately, so did the whole goddamn freaking student body, rwaaaawr!! She made it to this computer lab, though, close to the journalism building and 'lo and behold there was an open computer from which she could print! She started heading towards it, sure that she was in the clear, but then...but then!! A dorky looking face waltzed up and sat down at it before she could even get halfway there! Whyyyyyyyyyy??? she wanted to scream.
Brooke wasn't going to let this stop her, nope, and she was sure gonna let this dork know exactly what she thought of him, yes siree! "Hey, um..." she started, giving the boy a tap on the shoulder. "I was gonna use that computer. Mind if I take a swing at it first? I really gotta print this paper." Her face and voice were calm, but her eyes revealed her desperation.
