Maybe to someone else it might come naturally, but to a weirdo like Anji she was certain it would be anything but natural. It would be weird and awkward and uncomfortable. "Whatever." She laughed, shaking her head at the way Chris teased her. Why couldn't she be more like Chris?
The girl snorted. "I call it like I see it." She was completely certain that Chris couldn't end up alone, a crazy old spinster. She found it equally hard to believe that Chris hadn't been on a date in years. Then again, she hadn't been on a real date ever. "Okay, we need to stop focusing on my love life and start focusing on yours. Seriously, you need a date." She nudged the girl back and leaned against the couch more, watching Chris intently. How on earth could she not be dating someone? Maybe she just didn't have the time for it? Or maybe she just didn't want to date. Anjali couldn't help the weird nagging feeling in the back of her mind; she wouldn't mind a date with Chris. Just thinking about dating the other girl, however briefly, made her look away bashfully, hoping their conversation would shift and she wouldn't be forced to stammer through her own embarrassment.
Of course luck was never on Anjali's side.
"You're appealing." She urged, feeling the heat in her cheeks. Was she hitting on her? It occurred to Anjali it might seem that way, but was she actually doing that? They were friends. She had a sort of date with someone else. No, not a date, a hangout session that could include some dirty business. Not could.. would. She had a hookup scheduled. Nothing more. Anjali nipped at the inside of her bottom lip and looked over at Chris again, her mouth suddenly feeling dry. "So why don't you date?"
