Rachel is 13 and honestly she hates her life. She hates how her dad finds her a monster and she hates how her mom is always too busy. She doesn’t say these things though, and instead hides it all in a smile. She knows enough to know that magic isn’t real anymore, and that to make everyone happy she just has to try harder. On the outside she is overly happy, and wants to keep it that way. She loves ballet, piano, violin and horseback riding, so you are likely to find her doing any of those things. She relies on cleanliness and politeness to get her through the day, but inside she feels like everything is falling to pieces. She has lately started suffering from anxiety issues as well as depressive states. As a result she has become more of a recluse than ever before.This little lady could use some friends in her life, and maybe some enemies? She is also completely oblivious to love, and still thinks boys are wierd.

Annalyse Castova

Annalyse is 26 years old, and is a travel photographer who has set up a home base in Pilot Ridge, due to her sister, Elena Castova, coming to Hammel. She knows what she wants and will go after it, whether it be a photo or a person. Annalyse is mostly a fun, kind woman who isn’t afraid to have a good time, but is extremely serious when it comes to her work. She will not hesitate to do what it takes to get the right shot. Annalyse has a tendency to come off as arrogant and pretty sassy on first impressions, but get to know her and well, she is still sassy, but is much more confident than arrogant.

'Ullo. I'm me! I play Lucas [duh] and am interested in threading with you. What got me was the piano thing, Luke adores piano. He might be a bit of a casanova, but to him music comes first, so the piano and violin hobbies mix. And the fact she loves history, Luke likes history too!

So yea, I kinda wanna see how those two get along, if at all.

Hey there Cat!

I have a couple ideas to throw your way!

First would be Cori. They're pretty close in age for one. Also she has spent her whole life studying dance and ballet. She's a bit burnt out on it because of the pressure her mom has put on her, but she's starting to rediscover the joy of it given the freedom at Hammel. I could definitely see them bonding over it. Cori is pretty upbeat overall too so there's that.

Second is Alanna. She's a few years older, but she's a telepath and extremely soft hearted so if you wanted to explore a friendship or plot that would play on the darker side of Rachel, I'd gladly offer her up. Her power makes it easy to learn those sort secrets. I think helping Rachel would be really good for Alanna too because 1) she has suffered from major isolation and depressive spells too and 2) because she kind of hates her power and being able to use it and really help someone else would be the perfect push in the right direction for her.

Anyway let me know if either or both of these options appeal to you ^^

Alanna/Rachel: This actually could be really interesting. Right now Rachel doesn't really trust any telepaths except for Dr. Neville. She is putting on airs with her seemingly sweet attitude, and is actually really good at hiding it from others. Alanna could possibly have the oppurtunity to really get to know Rachel, though it depends on whether Rachel would know of Alanna's power, how Alanna would react, what Alanna would do if she heard Rachel's thoughts. That sort of thing. It could most certainly be fun <3 Would you like to start, or should I?

Likely Rachel wouldn't know her in more than passing or know her power since Alanna is 4 years older. I doubt their paths would cross much. This time of year, Alanna would likely spend a lot of time outside taking photographs... maybe she stumbles on Rachel out there? Or somewhere in the school could easily work as well, whatever you think would be most natural.

Hey Doro!

I also think that we were talking about a paul/rachel thread. I think we were discussing this because the two of them are similar in age. Plus Paul will likely remind Rachel of who she was, before everything happened.I think a thread would prove interesting given the nature of Rachel's mental being. How will she react? Plus! Possible friends? Maybe?

Hey Cat!

Jas/Rachel: Jasper is older than Rachel by a few years (he turned 18 in June) but I think they'd mesh well, anyway. Jasper has two younger brothers (the oldest is Rachel's age) and so it's a dynamic that's comfortable for him; he wouldn't be condescending to her for her relative youth, and he sorely misses being a big brother to someone who is around to confide in him. He was raised by a single mother in poverty, so the struggles of life are no mystery to him, and he'd be more than willing to listen.

If that's something you're interested in, I think it would be fun to explore over the course of several threads. Also, Rachel has a thread going with Alanna Darlington, who is Jasper's girlfriend!

Rachel could use an older brother figure in her life.Especially if it is one that wouldn't make fun of her being small and not seemingly strong. I wonder how they would meet though. If he is good at English, Science, or Math, he could tutor her. Or, they could meet through Alanna mentioning her, or something? I don't know, but it would be interesting.

I actually don't know how close that Alanna and Rachel are. Alanna happened Upon Rachel having sucidial thoughts. The thread hasn't gone far enough for me to say how Rachel feels about Alanna. Alanna also is taking some photos of Rachel and the butterflies, so maybe he sees those photos and recognizes her? Or something?
