Over the past few months, Rune had made many friends, but none more important to him than Axelle. Sure they weren't super close, but every time he was around her he didn't feel like he needed to be anyone but his dorky self. They would spend hours talking about nothing or hair dying, often both, and it just felt so nice. That was the exact reason the young British man was slowly starting to panic. He heard a hushed rumor that Axe might be his sister. Now, normally he dismissed rumors, and yet something about this one stuck with him. So, he began to research the best he could and all roads of inquiry lead back to her. It was nothing concrete, but Rune had a feeling it was true.
For a long time, he kept this from her. Mostly because he couldn't figure out exactly how to tell someone you are related to them. That. and he wasn't exactly sure how she'd handle it. A few days earlier, Rune got a spike of bravery and sent her a text asking to meet up and have lunch. Now in his mind, he planned everything he was going to say. It was all there and none of it was direct questions. His plan was to ask general things so he could be certain that Axe was indeed his sister. Plans are all well and good for a normal person, but this was the master of spaz, Rune.
The moment he saw her hair in the crowd, his whole line of questioning vanished from his brain and he just stared for a moment. As she came closer he managed to smile but was still fighting his brain to make words. Something, anything, would be better than standing there looking like a goldfish that jumped out of the bowl.
"Heya Axe!" He waved once she was in earshot. His fingers sparked a little and he shook his head some. Had he said 'sis' instead of Axe? he wasn't sure now, so he spoke again to cover it up just in case. "How are you? What's up? And where would you like to eat?" This time, he was sure he hadn't said anything out of the ordinary.
