Random Inspection (Jeff, Rune)

Doris looked over her to-do list in her hand. She crossed off the things she already did. The next thing on the list was a dorm inspection. It was another one of Doris' random dorm inspections. The students never knew when Doris was going to stop by. Mainly these inspections were to make sure the dorms were still in order and nothing that the students shouldn't have. Today's lucky contestants were the residences of dorm 503, Rune LeBeau and Jefferson McIntosh. Doris tottered out of her room with a clipboard.

It took a good thirty to forty-five minutes to get to her destination. Doris kept stopping to chat with the students she crossed paths with. When Doris finally reached the room, she politely knocked on the door. The only time when Doris would just go in without knocking was during an emergency.

Jeff was struggling with his coursework when he heard a knock at the door. He groaned audibly; knocking on the door was never good. It always signaled an adult was there to make his life miserable. Or maybe they were there to make Rune's life miserable, but from his perspective that happened less frequently and so was less likely. 

And, as he pulled open the door, his fears were confirmed. 

"Miss Haynes," He swallowed back panic. Why was she here?! His room was, frankly, not in especially good order; there were clothes flung on the floor rather than in the hamper, and there was a half-eaten box of oreos open on the desk beside a nearly empty bottle of Texas Pete sauce. 

The joint living area was in somewhat better condition, owing largely to the fact that it was a shared space and thus he felt slightly more obligation not to leave his belongings lying about there.
