[Cali Schwa]

June 2025, the day is sunny and warm.

Cali smiled. Today was her son's eleventh birthday. Looking down at her one month old daughter she began to wonder what would happen to her. If she was going to end up in Hammel or not. Her son was just enrolled in Hammel since he had turned eleven. She was proud to say that her son was a very good boy. Since she had children and got married she had to admit she changed alot. Looking down at her four karat diamond ring. Cali knew she was lucky to get a guy like she did. Of course he had money but that wasn't the only reason they married. Sipping her Cappuccino Cali giggled. Her life dramatically changed after high school. Actually the year she graduated her dad hired her at his firm. After that life became different.

At the New Years party she met Lee Chung. He was only a couple years older then her, but he caught her eye. At first she ignored her feelings. Just like she did when she was crushing on Zach. Eventually they went on a date or two. After a year Cali became pregnant, and soon they where married. Her father wouldn't have had it any other way. Soon Cali introduced her first born child, a son name Lee Chung Junior. Eleven years later she had Georgia. Cali sighed happily. Lee had the ability of precognition. In fact he was the first to know about Georgia. Cali had a laugh about that one. However her husband Lee was scared and didn't know what to do. Eventually Lee came to love it and accept his son and agreed with Cali to enroll him in Hammel. All this was weighing on her mind as she got up and fix her outfit, moving the pink stroller slightly. Cali left her daughter to throw away her trash. Not taking her eye off her daughter.

“Geez, time flies fast doesn’t it,” Zac mumbled to himself as he walked along the streets of Pilot Ridge, different as it is compared to his days in Hammel. True, it’s been almost two decades since he steered through these streets and sped past the stoplights, but now that he’s back in town, breathing in the quaint town air once more (though it became a bit more stuffy than he remembered), it’s like he’s eighteen again. It’s quite refreshing, considering that he’s spent the last few years in such noisy cities. Opting to simply park his car in Pete’s old house (which he renovated into a LaRousse rest house just five years ago), he threaded the stone pavement he used to walk on after school, and decided to check if his favorite café as a kid, Kali’s, if he remembers it right, is still in town.

Unlike Cali, despite being in his early thirties already, Zac has yet to find that someone and settle down. He had his fair share of flings and relationships, but as it seems, he could never keep one for long. So far the longest he’s gone is a year, with an underwear model. It doesn’t really faze him out as much as it does to his father, the old man pestering Zac from time to time, claiming he wants grand kids to take care of before he becomes old and senile (as his father is a precognitive, not seeing anything in the future about his son’s parenthood is quite disturbing). He’s thought about adopting a kid for a moment, as if he’s some real life Bruce Wayne, but his ‘family members’ disagreed, saying that the bloodline must be preserved and passed on to the next century, or something along that lines. Oh the joys of being the head of a meta-human family.

“Oh yeah, it’s still here,” he mumbled in amusement as he entered the said café, despite looking a little different that he remembered. He doubts the owner’s still in here, seeing that she was a whole lot older than him back then. He ordered his usual (at least as it was fourteen years ago), a toffee mocha and a couple of cinnamon rolls. How he missed the old days really (though he still consumes about a gallon or so of toffee mocha in a week, apparently the café’s taste is indeed very different, or so he thinks). He was on his way outside when he saw a seemingly familiar figure. “Cali? Cali Schwa?”

Getting ready to sit back down, Cali heard her name called. The tone of the voice brought back memories. Looking up Cali gave a pilot smile. Seeing Zach LaRousse she gave a slight laugh. The old Cali would have gone up to Zach and start some conversation on who is better and try to act all superior. This thought made Cali a little stiff. Now she was so down to earth. Wanting to go up and great him but she didn't want to leave her one month old alone that long. She became and over protective mother after all. Much more responsible. First however she had to make sure that she was absolutely right about it belonging to Zach. "Zach LaRousse?" Looking at him she scoffed again.

Despite being thirty she really couldn't see the difference. Zach still seemed like Zach. She wondered if his attitude changed like hers did. Maybe he even had a family now. That thought made Cali smile even bigger. Thirty years ago or so Cali would have fell on the floor laughing at the thought that Zach had a family. Now she kept her laughter on the inside. For all she knew Zach was the same Zach. Then another thought occurred to her. She never smiled back at Hammel or pretty much ever. Now its a regular occurrence. Cali went over to the stroller. Leaving everything there but she picked up her daughter. She made up her mind that she was going to walk over and great him. Carefully she picked up her daughter.

SInce she was only a month old Cali made sure to hold her carefully and not to tightly. Olding her head and on her right side she appraoched Zach. "How are you? Its been a very very long time Zach." Cali moved her left hand so she could shake hands with him. Normally she would hug the people she saw from high school. However Zach LaRousse was a different case. For all she know he could get made at her or something. She wasn't quite sure how he would react to her hugging him. So she held out her hand to him. Hoping he would relize that the old Cali was no longer there. That her personality changed when she got married.

For a second there, Zac actually thought he had called out on the wrong person. After all, why would the Cali Schwa, Queen Bee extraordinaire, stick around the lowly town of Pilot Ridge after graduation, or even fourteen years after that? She couldn’t have gone back to Hammel and decided to teach, right? A light snicker escaped him as he imagined Cali, albeit aging a bit but still keeping her teenage spunk, tormenting the hell out of her students. A second Mrs. Ingrid Barnes, only a whole lot less heart.

His eyebrows crooked for a bit, trying assure himself that indeed, despite the additional roundness of the figure and the little kid on her side, the silhouette belongs to the Queen Bee still. As much as he wanted not to get familiar with it, the Bee had a way of sticking her nose wherever Zac was, hence the familiarization. After quickly tapping into a bloodhound to get her scent then switching to an elephant’s near-perfect recall to cross-reference and ID the lady in front of him (apparently he got a whole lot better with his power as time went by), a smug smile suddenly appeared on his face as it confirmed that truly she was the Queen Bee.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” he jested, surprised at the sudden scoff. As far as he knew, he and Cali didn’t part ways on a bitter note, and he hadn’t done anything to irk her for the past fourteen years, so why the demeaning scoff? “This seat taken?” he asked out of formality, seating on the chair across her and putting his food on the table without even waiting for an answer. “I’m fine. Though I have to correct you, that’s Dr. LaRousse now,” added the mimic, winking at Cali playfully, “But it’s all good. We’re old friends after all. How about you?”

He took note of the two kids in the area, seeing as they somehow give off a different yet vaguely similar scent to the Schwa. Could they be her kids? “Yours?” he asked casually, using his eyes to point at the kids as he grabbed his cup and took a sip. This ought to be a good story.

Cali looked at him strangely as he mentioned doctor. There was no way she could picture Zach being a doctor. Maybe he was like that t.v. show House. The mean doctor who had no manners or morals, but could always find a cure for the pateint. Maybe he became more sociable and cairng but then again when she heard him speak it sounded like the old Zach she knew from Hammel. "Yea, you can sit with us." Even before she could answer him he sat down. SO far he was teh same old Zach.

Thinking on what he said she smiled. "I work at my father's firm. Well I use too. After Georgia starts school in five six years I'll probably go back to work. What about you anyhting new?"Cali smiled and sipped her coffee some more, and watched as her son came into the store and ran right up to her. The nanny must have brought him. Automatically he came in and hugged his mother then went to play around. Turning her attention away from Zach and to her son for a moment she said in a motherly voice "Lee Marshall Chung Junior you behave and stay where mommy can see you!" The boy looked to her and nodded. The intensity in Cali's eyes disappeared as she turned back to Zach.

Nodding with a slight laugh She looked to her children again then to Zach. "Yea. They're both mine. After Hammel I went to work for my father pretty much after graduation. Met a guy, got pregnant, then married. Had Lee Junior. Now he just started Hammel. It was funny when his father Lee found out. I guess he wasn't expecting it to happen even though I warned him when I found out about Lee. He is quite an amazing little boy. They made me grow up so much. I didn't have time to be immersed in myself. I guess I could have hired full time nannies but I didn't want them growing up without me. What about you any kids?"

Though he’s not a mind reader, he could see quite plainly the confusion that suddenly formed in Cali’s face when he mentioned the word ‘doctor’. Not that he could blame her though; he himself knows that he doesn’t look like one. Heck, should he meet his past self and told him he’d be a doctor someday, he’d laugh so much, given the absurdity of his idea. Truth be told, it was only in the last year of his masters studies (for a Masters Degree in Engineering) did he decide it wouldn’t hurt him should he study more and pursue his studies further. It’s not like his father’s in a rush to give his company to his son anyway. “I know that look,” he chuckled, crossing his legs and leaning back to the chair as he put his cup down, “No, it’s not an M.D.; I’d be crazy if I even tried for one. I did grow some sympathy, but I don’t think it’s enough to help me get by. It’s a PhD. In Genetics and Biotechnology actually.” He gave Cali a wink, a rather smug and proud one at least. While his personality did tone down a bit, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t brag about his achievements every now and then, especially around people who seem to be so surprised about it.

“Firm? Like a law firm firm? You’re a lawyer?” Now this was his time to look all confused. Cali was a bitch back in the old days, but he couldn’t see her being quite the lawyer; a catfight-er maybe, but not a lawyer. Not when her arguments back then were deadends and all that, no offense meant. Then again, if Zac could turn out to be a PhD holder, what’s stopping Cali. He turned slightly and looked at the boy Cali’s shouting to. “Takes much from his father, that boy. Lee Marshal Chung, I assume?” As if the ‘Junior’ wasn’t obvious enough. The boy does have Cali’s eyes, but other that, they don’t look that much alike. “Georgia seems to have more you than him though. How many years have you been married then?” It’s only been fourteen years, give or take, since they’ve last met and the boy seems a good ten or so years. So Cali married early? What a shocker.

He almost spat his drink out at the mention of kids. While he does want some of his own, he doesn’t feel like it’s the right time yet. “Unless I had one of my one night stands pregnant, none that I know off,” he replied as if having such a promiscuous lifestyle is quite normal, “But don’t get me wrong, I want to settle down, but I just haven’t figured out if I’ve finally found the one.” He took one of his rolls and grabbed a bite (“Want some?” he asked before putting a slice in his mouth). “I am seeing someone right now. You know Stella Pinyin? The albino girl who transferred in during our senior year? I think she was your roommate, if I remember it correctly.”

Cali gave a little laugh. "No. I'm not a lawyer. Not yet. I am what they call an Atorney-in-fact. I'm the person that sits next to the lawyer. Hopefully I'll be going back to school and get my law degree. Well finish getting my dergree. My husband is the lawyer. I never knew what my dads business was. He tried to keep work and home seperate. Turns out he is the bad kind of lawyer I guess you could say. The one who defends the bad guys. I can't believe that you seem so shocked. I was actually a good argueer in high school, until it came to you that is." Thats the first time she thought about her past when she had a crush on Zach. Of course she still didn't have feelings for him but it was weird to even think about it. Cali was madly in ove with Lee.

Cali nodded "Yea. Lee Marshall Chung is my husbands name. Lee Jr. Definetly takes after his father more then me. Georgia is definetly a combination of us however. She has her dad's hair and eyes. My nose and mouth." At the marriage question Cali stopped and had to think. Not that he couldn't remember it was she wanted to make sure she was right. "About eleven years. I was married for five or six months before Lee was born. My dad was so mad when I told him I was pregnant. My family is traditional, and they frowned upon me being pregnant before I was married."

Cali shook her head. "No thanks. But thanks for offering." Cali almost bursted into tears of laughter when He mentioned Stella. "Pinyin? your 'Little Glow Worm'? I figured you too would have dated before now. However, I can not see you and Stella together. She was so quiet and sweet in high school. You where so...well the opposite." Finally Cali decided that it was time to put her daughter back into the stroller. Turning back to Zach she shook her head. "How long have you two been dating?"

Now it was Zac’s turn to shake his head. He did it in a joking manner of course, careful not to offend Cali. In the old days, he wouldn’t have cared otherwise, and at times he still does, but then, Cali has her kids around her. It won’t be good for them to see their mother so furious. Or if she still throws one of those epic bitch tantrums whenever she and Charlotte went into a face off. “I resent that,” he said, “I mean, I find it weird that you call yourself a lawyer and yet you’re quick to judge, no offense. Aren’t there no clean cut black and white when it comes to the law? Great lawyers do have the ability to bend reality around them and their client, showing that the morally bad can be justified by the law? And besides, you said it yourself that you worked for your father. Doesn’t that make you a ‘bad guy’ too?” And no, he’s not being cynical because justice has eluded his mother’s murder for twenty-one years and counting already. Nope, not one bit. “Arguer? I didn’t know that there was such a word. I thought it was debater,” he chuckled, as his eyes glanced upon the clear sky. Indeed, the sky in Vermont, or at least Pilot Ridge, was always different. Probably because of the numerous weather manipulators around. “And dearie, didn’t we go to high school together? Like, we came to the school at the same time. You amuse me, really.”

“Eleven years? Woah. That’s one heck of a relationship,” answered Zac, his eyes widening in amusement and delight, “The longest I’ve been is, what, two and a half years? Or maybe it was just a year and a half. I can’t remember. But never three, I’m sure. Happened a good six to seven years ago.” And while the break-up had been the most painful he’s had so far, he’s somehow over it. It doesn’t really help much that the said person is the same one he’s with right now. “What eager beavers you are then,” he teased, “My family doesn’t really care. As long as the person I’m with is a meta, and has a long list of meta-history, they’re fine.” A big lie, but Cali doesn’t need to learn all the nitty gritty of his family’s fickleness.

“What did I just offer?” he asked, perplexed with her out of the blue response, in his eyes anyway. “Yeah. Little Glowworm. Though in my defense, your accusations before were wrong. We didn’t date until after three years past high school.” And indeed, it was a weird meeting and courtship, as Stella wasn’t as naïve as she was back in Hammel. “She’s still sweet, but not so quiet anymore. She even has a backbone now. I’m so proud,” he laughed, “Guess I rubbed off her. In the metaphorical sense of course.” He gave Cali a naughty wink as he sipped his drink. “Now? It’s complicated. We were together a few years ago, but fell out. We just got back just over a month ago.”

Cali smiled "Sounds to me that your getting ready to settle down. Every body has ins and outs in their relationship. My huisband has spent many nights sleeping on the couch. But me and Lee always work things out. WHile I was pregnant with Junior I actually made Lee move out." Cali stopped and laughed at the memory. "It was funny. I was so mad at him and it was for something so stupid. He spent almost a whole month away from me. Even though it wasn't his fault he apologized to me and brought me flowers. Then everything went back to normal. It sounds like whatever happened to you guys in the past she has forgotten about. Maybe she is in love with you?" Clai didn't know what came over her or why she felt like giving Zach relathionship advice. Maybe she became too nice?

"Never mind I thought you said something so never mind me saying no thanks. I may have been mistaken. And I really wouldn't say eager beavers. We are in love. More now then before but we where in love then too. We couldn't help but want to be with each other forever." Cali thought about what he said about arguer not being a word and she agreed. However she thought he was trying to get the old Clai to come out and he almost succeed until she heard her son laugh and she realized that she wouldn't let him see his mother get really angry. Taking a deep breath she let her self think a little longer.

"Arguer might not be a word but it was the first one to come to my mind. Just because wwe went to the same school deosn't mean you knew what I did every second of everyday. Unless you where stalking me? Even your connections couldn't keep you up to date what I was doing every day. And all i was trying to say was when it came to you in high school I could think. I had a huge crush on you back then. Therfore when it came to being rude and crude to you I just couldn't. Especially that day a long time ago at the pond I believe it was when I hit you. It took me till graduation to get over that one. I think thats what also helped me to grow up." Cali decided that it was time to get her old feeling off her chest so taking a deep breath she continued. "You made me cry that day. and Cali Schwa of the past never cried. That made me admire you even more. It was funny. I never thought I would get over you but I did when I met Lee."

Zac simply laughed, and since this is Zac we’re talking about, it became somewhat on the demeaning side of things (though in his defense, it wasn’t his intention), when Cali began talking about the possibility of him and Stella finally settling down. Indeed, they did talk about stuff like that from time to time, his father practically begging him for a grandkid (says he still wants to be able to run after his son’s children), but it hasn’t occurred to Zac to take such talk seriously. In his opinion, neither he nor Stella has reached that point in their lives already. Maybe Stella has, but he definitely hasn’t. At least not yet. “Hooray for the sagely advise Cali,” nodded Zac, a little tinge of sarcasm evident in his tone, “Don’t get me wrong, I do appreciate the concern and all that, but please, don’t take things too seriously. After all, didn’t I come here to have a casual talk with you and not a heart-to-heart? We’re hardly best friends dear.” He might’ve been a little out of the line there, seeing that he became a little too defensive, but then again, he just doesn’t like the concept of settling down being brought upon by anyone. Especially not by Cali. “And of course she’s in love with me. Ever since we first met back in Hammel. Everyone is in love with me,” laughed the man, giving Cali a playful wink, “After all, what’s not to love?” Apparently age doesn’t do much to dilute his ever-vain personality.

As Cali went on and droned about her and Lee Chung, Zac couldn’t help but shake his head. Maybe people can really change. If somebody told him that marriage would turn the bitch that is Cali Schwa into a relatively soft-spoken lady with a knack for giving people unsolicited advice, he would definitely dismiss it as a joke. Heck, he was sitting right in front of the ‘reformed’ lady and he still can’t believe it. “Tell me this isn’t some kind of a joke Cali,” he teased, “Tell me this isn’t some hidden camera or you aren’t some duplicate of hers, assuming you developed such a power, that had an ever-so-different personality. Is that what marriage does to you? Or did Lee Chung simply lobotomized you and took away all the bad parts?”

“If this was high school, I would’ve jumped for joy and rubbed it to your face that you liked me. I knew it from the start Cali,” said the man in such a confident manner as he took a sip from his drink, “I guess this is the part where you expect me to say that I felt the same, but unfortunately, and I am so sorry, it isn’t. You simply weren’t my type in the first place.” Ten points for bluntness Zac, ten points. While he does agree that Cali looks a notch above the other girls back in Hammel, he never did see her as a potential girlfriend. Or even a friend with benefits for that matter. “So, is this Lee you married, is he meta?” Not that he cares or anything. He’s just curious, that’s all.

Cali shook her head "We are barely friends. I would say hardly Acquaintances Zach. We tried to avoid each other in high school. Or shall I say you tried to avoid me in high school. Well for the most part anyway." Cali looked down at her cup. It was almost empty now. Usually she would but another cup but she decided to wait until all of the drink was gone. Debating weather or not she could leave Zach alone with her children or not. "You are still so into yourself aren't you? You really haven't changed much..." Cali sighed slightly. Most of the people she talked to from high school didn't change much if any. They all where so surprised when they talked to her.

Cali laughed "Are you saying that this might be a case of the 'Body snatchers'? Hidden Camera's too? Zach this is no joke..." Reaching her hands out to her son he came to her and she hugged him. Picking him up and putting him on her lap. He hated to be placed on his mother's lap and it was evident on his face but he would do anything for his mom. After all they where both meta. "No, this is no joke. This is really me now Zach. I have changed alot. My family has changed me. When I met Lee he changed me. I was so nasty to him at first. I don't know how he could have standard me. But when he kissed me for the first time I felt loved and I fell in love. Ever since then I am the Cali you see before you. I guess you could say it was the responsibility of being an adult and having to make my own decisions that changed me too. Not only my own but for my children."

Cali looked at him. like she saw a ghost. "Zach, to be honest I'm glade we didn't date. That would have been the worst mistake in my life. I wish I didn't even crush on you Zach. I'm thinking if I never did then I would have been different. I realize looking back that I was an awful person. The teachers I have upset, the other people I have fought and won fights with. I never want my children to know that about me. I'm surprised now as I look back that my father even wanted me to work with him. Then again he saw the person I can be in hard times. Heartless and precise." Taking a breath Cali let herself think. "No Lee is not Meta. Our daughter might not be meta. I was surprised our son turned precog. on us. Lee...well he had a hard time understanding and we got into a few fights. It scared him. I don't blame him. He had no clue what a meta was. Now everything is back to normal. Lee accepts his son."

“Dear, dear Cali, haven’t high school taught you anything?” said Zac, shaking his head while burying it against his palm, as if extremely disappointed with Cali’s answer, “If I wasn’t so into me, then I wouldn’t be Zac in the first place dearie.” Indeed, take the pride and vanity away from Zachary LaRousse, and he’d be quite the hollow. He wasn’t too keen on people telling him he’s such a brat before, but as he grew older and accepted it, it somehow became rooted on his very being already. His mind became so twisted that being called a jerk or an asshole is quite the compliment to him already, at least when used in the context of him pissing the person off voluntarily. “Not everyone can change with a kiss. My life isn’t a fairy tale you know.”

The canoodling Cali did to her son made Zac believe that it was true, at the same time put more doubt in his cynical mind. On one hand, it might be that Cali did in fact change. Or this could all have been a setup and the kid was told to act like that. So confusing really. “You don’t like Mommy babying you too much, don’t you Junior?” he asked the kid, smiling sweetly as he leaned down to meet him in the eye. Behind his doubt though, is the bitter feeling of losing his mother. He was just a bit younger than Junior when his mother died, and what makes things worse is that her murder is still unresolved. He just hopes that justice will be served before his father passes away; those people owe his family at least that much. “True loves kiss? Can you get anymore cliché than that Cali?” Then again, he can’t deny the fact that people do change when faced with such a responsibility. It might not be evident in his snarky attitude and somewhat cynical view of life, but he did in fact became more careful in his decisions, seeing that it’ll affect more than just his life now. “If anything, I’m intrigued by this Lee Chung. Any chance he’s with you right now?”

“You weren’t heartless and precise, at least not in my view,” chuckled the mimic darkly, giving the kid on Cali’s lap a light pat, “You were more, hmm, how to say this in front of a kid, B-I-T-C-H-Y than heartless. But hey, let’s not dwell on the past right?” (Apparently he thinks spelling would spare the kid of the cuss). No, he doesn’t need to make an enemy of Cali again. It’s pointless anyway. High school drama must be put into the past, or at least drama with Cali anyway. “He’s not meta? Woah. He must be some guy to put you into that state really. And this kid’s a precog? Did he see me coming or what.” Maybe it’s because his father’s a precognitive, or he just feels like seeing the future is such a wonderful power, that he has quite the respect for such brand of meta, no matter how old they are.

Cali shrugged "It may be clinche' Zach but that how it happened. It was everything a little girl dreams of as she grows up. The fireworks, the passion." Cali sighed. "I'm gonna need another cappiccino soon. Lee isn't here yet. This is our dailly routine for the weekdays. Junior goes to school, Lee goes to work. Around 2 I take Georgia for a walk, We end our walk here. The nanny/ driver picks Junior up from school and drops him off here, then lee picks us up on his way home." Cali tapped the little boy on the back to indicate he needed to get up. Cali got up and went to get another cappiccino. "I'll be right back." She said as she left to go to the counter.

Junior looked at Zach and shrugged "I don't like being babied but my mom does it all the time. I don't tell her because one time I did and she was sad. So now I just let her." Looking to his mom then back at Zach "I guess you can say I kinda saw you meeting my mommy here. My dad on his way now too. He's gonna call my mommy soon and tell her. I don't see everything though. Only bits and parts like a movie that sences got cut out off. Sometimes I don't tell my mommy because I think she might worry." Looking at the man eagarly he laughed slightly "Was my mom really...that bad word you said? I couldn't picture my mommy being very mean. She is always so nice, even to the maids and stuff. My grandpa says when mommy was younger he couldn't stand her. He always was making him spend money." Junior shut up as his mother sat back down.

"My husband called he is on his way. Why do you want to meet him? Frankly you wanting to meet my family scares me." She looked down at her son and he moved as she sat down.

“And I think I’ll need a barf bag,” Zac teased as Cali got up and bought another cup. Cynical as he is, he could never imagine having all that passion and fireworks in a relationship, or at least in the first meeting. It’s just too…unrealistic. He’s been into a dozen relationships over the past fourteen years, some shorter than others, but he’s never really had the fireworks experience. And yes, not even with Stella. Though she does glow a whole lot. Does that count? “Routine is so boring. Don’t you tire of that kiddo?” he asked the kid, crossing his arms over the table and bending down, so as to meet the boy in the eye, “That your little sister over there kid? Don’t you feel a little bit, I don’t know, awkward, given the huge age gap you have?” He asked, pointing at the stroller beside him.

He simply shook his head. Indeed, while Cali seemed to have changed, she’s still the out-of-control control freak he knew in high school. Her son’s reluctance to speak when she’s around and apparent timidity is proof of it. “I may sound like a bad man right now kiddo, but seriously, you don’t have to be such a slave to your mom. If you don’t like it, tell her. She may feel bad and all that, but hey, you’re not her little doll she could play around and make her do as she pleases. You’re a kid for goodness’ sake. I may not be a parent, but I do know that you being sounding so oppressed like that is definitely not a good sign.” Zac gave the kid a knowing look, trying hard not to look so sinister as he did. “If she wasn’t, why would I even bother bringing it up? His apparent silence as his mother came back just made him twitch even more so. “Frankly Cali, I don’t ever recall telling you that I’d want to meet him,” he answered. Where the hell does she get all these stuff really? “I just asked you if he’s meta and you’re jumping into conclusions already.
