Luckily it didn’t take much to wake Sleeping Beauty up. For the record, Zac never considered kissing Annaleigh would wake her up (that or it never really crossed his mind). He was never the creepy-type, and despite
He let a sigh of relief escape him as he saw Anna’s eyes open. He could just imagine the punishment he’ll receive from his father (and their stuffy clan leaders) if they ever find out Zac was alone in his dorm with a sleeping girl. They wouldn’t ask for an explanation, they’d just unleash all hell on him right away (well his dad would listen to him, and would probably lessen the punishment, but punishment is punishment still). He couldn’t take another allowance cut, or any other cruel thing they could think of. “Thank goodness,” he mumbled, leaning to the back of the couch as he felt his chest got lighter.
Zac was worrying about himself so much that he didn’t catch Anna’s frustrated question nor her rather grumpy demeanor. When he turned back to her again, all he saw was the rather apologetic Annaleigh, embarrassed about her sudden trip to dreamland. “Sort of,” he chuckled, “You’ve been out for about 5 or so minutes, I think, so it’s more of a nap than a sleep really.”
“You know if you’re tired, you just tell me you know,” he smiled. True, Zac was a jerk, but he does have his moments. “I mean, we could always continue our talk like, tomorrow or the other day. Now that I know you’re around, I’ll be sure to put an eye out for you.”
