2. Friends. Well, of a sort. The nature of Alan's power is that it would take a sincere effort of will to not like him, at least a little. He's basically the best shoulder to cry on you could ask for...but that necessitates having someone crying on the shoulder.

3. Someone whose house he can live in. Alan literally *just* walked into Pilot Ridge. Yes, walked. He'd definitely prefer to live in someone's house instead of under a bridge--he's slept under more than his fair share of bridges and doesn't really appreciate the damp.

Typically I would offer Sean's house but he already has a long-term house guest. But he'll help Alan find somewhere to live, and he makes a good friend.

I have a few people I can toss at Alan.

Annie only visits on weekends, but she always brings some baked treat or another. Almost always it's cupcakes. She's deaf and not-quite-mute-but-might-as-well-be and super colorful. All of her outfits are chosen based solely on how much personality she can show through with them.

Sidra- my goth student who I promise you will hate Alan. That's just how she is.

Jessica- my not-goth student who's trying to find her place and figure out who she is. She thinks her life is super-tragic, but it's not really.

and Mama B- Little old lady who lives in an assisted living facility with her husband who has Alzheimers. She sometimes wanders onto the grounds looking for "that nice young man, Sean." who's been her son's friend since FOREVER

Annie--some very interesting possibilities here. I don't know how Alan would react to being hated indiscriminately, but I'd certainly like to find out, and I'll take any and all takers for students. As for Annie and Mama B, Alan will love them to pieces! Especially Annie, Alan likes a woman who can dress loud.

I think Maxwell would like a good mentor. He needs someone who can help him learn about his powers as well as growing into a young man. Kid's too shy to handle one little male-female interaction, and is hardly able to speak up for himself. Sound like fun?

OH oh oh oh, Josh wants to be Alan's friend. Pretty sure Alan will remind him of his college days just a little bit, haha. Also, he's friends with Sean, so the chances they will meet are increased.
