She's actually coming through quite a breakthrough, this Annabelle. Now as much as she loves the artsy bits of life, she's also realizing that she's shut herself into a wardrobe, and for a while, she was locked inside of it with now way of socialization. It wasn't until recently that she found a way to open that, and expand, stepping out of the box that held her and learning how to integrate herself in others' lives. Its going to be awkward, talking to her at first, because she's basically forcing it out, but with time, I assure you, she will become more comfortable with people. You just happened to find her while she's reinventing herself, which will be quite the enjoyable if not amusing ride.

Meet Poppy Persephone Lovejoy. Odds are, you haven't met anyone like her. Her world is a fabrication of her imagination, meshed perfectly with what she accepts as the real world. For her, I really strongly recommend reading her profile, it explains a lot. But in a brief overview, she's been raised to believe that everything in faerie tales is true, that Hogwarts is but an acceptance letter by owl away, and although she's yet to find the right wardrobe to Narnia, she's still on the lookout. Naive, but sweet and kind, Poppy will be the one to come up to you first, most likely talking about something completely random, in hopes you have deep rooted interest in it. She's fun, simple, an adventurist, and in a world all of her own. But now that she's new to Hammel, right off the boat, she's going to be needing to make some friends and connections here!

I have been meaning to jump on this ever since Poppy came in (yes, I know you are LOA-ish right now, but it doesn't hurt to dibs, right?)

I want Sakhmet and Poppy to be friends. Sakhmet can tell Poppy stories about her travels as a child and Poppy can tell Sakhmet about her crazy family.

Also, when Amelia makes it to Pilot Ridge she and Poppy both have tightrope walking fathers, although to be honest I think Amelia might hold that against her.

I know you already mentioned Sakhemt and Annabelle possibly being friends, as well, and I am still up for that if you are.

Yes, I had been gone for quite some time, but I am back for a while now, hopefully permanently. I'm up for the idea about Sakhmet and Poppy, as I'm sure she'll be no less than delighted by the tales of far off lands. She's much like a child in that aspect, a bit behind on the maturity level in that department. Still, I believe that sort of friendship would be beneficial.

As for Amelia, we could go off that, as not many people can actually prove they had tightrope walking fathers, or any tightrope walking family members to begin with. If there is a prejudice shown, I'm sure that she'd try to prove otherwise, never raised to understand the prejudices of the world, and thus trying perhaps too much to prove herself in good nature.

As for further plot for Sakhment and Annabelle, I fear its been too long for me to remember what I had set up for them. I will be making a few revisions on Anna, so that may change things. I'll keep you posted here.
