Worrying about a friend, a friend who was more like a sister, was one of the most horrible things to deal with. It was always in the back of your mind, it was always brought to your attention when you heard their name and it constantly had you freaking out. It was especially bad when the friend was so far gone that you didn't even recognize them. Elisia could honestly say she had never seen Adrianna this lost and this dark. The older girl had always been so full of life and fun to be around, now she was always locked up in her room listening to sad music that broke Ellie's heart and caused her literal pain due to her power and the emotions behind the music she heard.
The worst thing she knew was that Adrian wasn't dancing anymore. She'd lost the spark that had always driven her to dance. Dance was the outlet of all her pain and now that she wasn't doing it, the pain was being outlet in a different and more harmful way. Adrian hadn't told Elisia, but she'd figured it out on her own and she didn't have anyone to tell. It wasn't like she could just go up to one of her random friends and tell them she was worried about her roommate's safety. She'd been tempted to go to Dr. Neville, but she was afraid it would only create more problems for the mimic.
Ellie was trying not to worry about it now though, not when she was at practice with all of the other girls who knew Adrian. She already knew that some of them were getting suspicious. Stories and gossip flew around way too much in schools and Elisia didn't really like talking about people behind their back. Even if she wasn't saying anything mean. The psychometric stayed close to the back of the room as she stretched, her mind far away.
