She'd had worse days.

Then again, she'd had better days.

The mere fact that she had to maintain some kind of social understanding with others whilst buying lunch was... holocryptic. Mina just wanted to get her food, eat it as quickly as possible, and leave. Finished.

Once she had everything (and had avoided being courteous, or friendly, or helpful), she found a nice, inviting, empty table to sit at. That meant she could leave soon as humanely possible, once she stopped eating.

The dark haired girl, her black hair with dark red streaks in it, at the moment, took up her drink and took a good swig. If she wasn't on school ground and it couldn't be so easily detected, it probably would've contained alcohol, but it was just coffee. Oh, well. It was a shame, could've picked up her mood.

She began to eat one of her sandwiches, occasionally glancing at the people to send them the message that this was her table and any approach taken to it would not be met kindly. She wasn't as openly violent or attention drawing as some people she knew, but Mina knew how to scare people. And she wasn't afraid to use her knowledge for her own gain. She just hoped that no-one was stupid enough to ignore her non-verbal communication, for their sake, of not her own.

Probably just her own.

After English class, Carleigh exited the classroom with her usual beaming smile. There wasn't a day where she wasn't smiling, even after sleepless nights. That's why coffee existed. She slung her bag over her shoulder, tucking her books away. Humming under her breath, the blonde made her way over to the cafeteria.

It was one of her favourite parts of the day. Carleigh enjoyed the social affair that lunch was, sitting at a new table with vaguely familiar faces and talk. Just talk over food. She walked into the cafeteria, the typical spring in her step and inviting smile. She wanted people to say hi to her, to small talk. Carleigh practically lived on social interactions.

Filing into line, Carleigh grabbed a tray and took a few items, including a salad, a sandwich and bottle of water. She eyed the different tables, zeroing in on a dark haired girl who sat by herself. As she came closer, Carleigh noticed that the pretty stranger had a certain... look on her face. Shrugging it off, she plunked her tray down in front of her, with a grin. "Hello!" She cheerfully greeted, taking a seat.

Why did the idle minded people of Hammel even partake in small talk? Approaching a stranger or acquaintance with the intention of striking up a short and pointless conversation, before parting ways without considering speaking to them again, unless the occasion conveniently arose.

And smiling was painful.

This means that when one bright individual decided to place themselves in her eyeline, she blinked a couple of times. Had she not made it clear enough? She wasn't afraid to go through with the threats that whirled in her mind. But she wouldn't even give this girl the satisfaction of communication. She looked at her for a few seconds, before glancing back down at her food and ignoring her completely.

Maybe that would make it more obvious.

Twisting open the cap of her water bottle, Carleigh took a sip as she waited for the girl to respond to her greeting.

And waited.

Her smile faded into a neutral resting expression, which wasn't fitting for the bubbly blonde. Carleigh set her water bottle down, tapping her fingers on top of the table. The silence around them was unnerving, since she was so use to something being there. Even if it was background noise.

"Well.... nice day huh?" She commented, gesturing towards the sunny window that matched her beaming personality.
