[Axelle Flint]

Much like a small child charged with a great task at such a young age, Axelle was brimming with excitement over going to get the milk by herself. Both guardians were busy and she had been tasked with a great thing. Normally she wasn't allowed to do this sort of thing since groceries were valuable and she was...well...clumsy.

HOWEVER TODAY WAS SPECIAL.

She'd put on her Union Jack sweater that George had given her and excitedly began to make her way to the grocery store. She just knew that good things would come of today!

(OOC: your character doesn't necessarily have to interact with Axelle in this thread, they can be doing their own thing and she can react to it later. Anything goes as long as Axelle's path to grocery store isn't deviated by anyone but herself. If you want her to react to your character directly {so that they can converse for awhile} that's totally fine, just let me know. Let see how many crazy things {within the context of this universe} that Axelle will see on her way to get milk!)

Jamie peered out of half-lidded eyes, face mashed against the pillow on his makeshift bed. Blinking a few times, and grimacing at the alarm clock that was beeping obnoxiously at him before hastily turning it off and sitting up. He stretched, coughed a bit, and stretched some more before he finally managed to get up and start to go about his morning business

Still half asleep, Jamie pulled on a pair of sweats and his old Army PT shirt. Nearly forgetting socks altogether, Jamie bent down to grab his sneaker before backtracking back into his bedroom to grab a pair from one of his suitcases situated in the corner. Socks, Shoes… almost ready. He proceeded to spend the next 10 minutes searching diligently for his old dinged up iPod, as well as the headphones that should have been with the iPod, but he’d found draped over the breakfast nook instead.

Trudging outside, coughing again in the crisp air, Jamie looked around out of habit before starting to stretch out. He figured a few miles around the area wouldn’t hurt. Maybe he’d grab breakfast somewhere on his way back? Perhaps then he’d have enough energy to actually devote some time to job hunting.

It took him a bit to really set a decent stride. Even in the cool air, he started sweating out last night’s alcohol intake almost immediately, and when his stomach roiled and protested, Jamie hummed along to whatever was playing in his ears to help pass the feeling. It was more or less empty outside, perhaps more people would be coming out once it got a little warmer, but some distance away, Jamie saw a small shape.

With the distance closing, he could finally make out that it was a rather small girl...with orange hair? It was only a minute or two more before he was almost behind her. slowing his pace a little and secretly hoping he didn’t smell too much like a distillery at this point, he spoke up- a bit breathlessly- so as not to startle her too much.

Carleigh often went downtown when she wanted to spend some time alone. Then again, those times were rare and inevitably, she would end up meeting a friend or acquaintance on the streets and start a conversation with them. Today, she genuinely wanted some solitude in order to process her thoughts. The fact that she was a senior and set to (hopefully) graduate this year, at least academically. There was no way she was experienced enough with her power to complete that portion of her training. She skipped too many sessions and spent little to no time working on controlling her ability. It was why things were still less than average after all this time.

So, to deal with another night of insomnia, Carleigh had decided to grab a coffee from the Velvet Tone and walked the streets of downtown Pilot Ridge, the warm cup in her hand. She was dressed in a warm scarf and sweater duo, the heels of her boots clicking against the sidewalk.

Carleigh wasn't paying much attention to the world around her. Not even the sight of flaming red hair was enough to snap the blonde out of her introspective thoughts.
