What is Love? (Tomer)

For a while now Harmony had been bursting into Tomer's room at unexpected hours of the day. She showed up to walk with him to class, ran in whenever she had a new idea for a prank, and stopped by to complain about the teachers who gave her detention. She felt Tomer's bedroom was the only place in this whole lame school that she actually liked.

And it worried her.

She didn't like needing anyone. She didn't like even liking anyone. And she really didn't like how when the other girls talked in their stupid girly voices about boys she always thought about Tomer and how he was better than most of the other idiot guys around here.

And she really hated that late at night when she was trying to fall asleep sometimes she wondered what it might be like to kiss him

So she had been avoiding him for the past week or so. She didn't stop by. She even ducked away when she saw him in the hallway. But she missed him. She missed just hanging out in his room.Finally his morning, she had ran to his room with the idea to just act like nothing was different and everything was normal and fine.

"Yo, Tomer," she yelled, knocking on his bedroom door. "You up? I'm bored!"

In no way was Tomer an expert on girls. But with both an older and younger sister (not to mention a female best friend who was incredibly frank in discussing aspects of femaledom), he noticed Harmony's absence, but figured she was busy. Every time a new Twilight book had come out, the whole family more or less lost contact with Abby till she was around 70% through fangirling and having squealy conversations with her friends. The thought occurred to him that maybe she'd finally been caught and was in a punishment that stuck, but then, anything that kept Harmony away for over a week? He'd have heard about it. The national news likely would know about it. And he knew Sean couldn't tell him anything, so he didn't ask.

Still, when he finally heard those impatient footsteps and that louder-than-necessary slamming on the door (seriously, was she just throwing her whole body against the wood or what), he felt himself smile. Clover spooked, ducking into his little hut inside his cage.

Yeah, he was up. Tomer dutifully woke himself up no later than 8 am on the weekends so Mondays would suck a bit less. Besides, it gave him some time to play with Clover before the little bunny took his mid-morning nap. Wheeling over in his desk chair, he unlocked the door and wheeled back to his desk; she could let herself in. Homework was spread over the desk, though not too much of it. Mostly projects or reports that weren't due for a week or more.

Half an amused smile lifted his lips. "Why are you here, if you're bored?"

Tomer's room was not exactly a hotbed of activity.
