Corrine had only been at Hammel a couple days now, but after her first day of classes, it had become painfully obvious that she was in over her head.
It really wasn't a surprise though. All her life, dance had been the number one priority. Her education was done no later than noon, regardless if all topics had been covered. Her mother wasn't a bad person though, just very focused on dance. Being homeschooled allowed Corrine the freedom to make dance a priority and for years she had enjoyed that.
Now that she was at Hammel though, it was blatant how much of a backseat her education had taken. Even if she wasn't a bit behind, just getting used to the work load would have required some help. It was a big adjustment to make and Cori wasn't used to failure. She didn't particularly want to change that.
So she had reached out and found a tutor. She'd only emailed the older student, which she was now coming to realize had likely been a mistake. She was in the library, looking around and she had no idea who she was looking for. Well, at least she knew that she could rule out the guys. That was a start.
Her eyes flitted around the room, trying to decide which girl looked most like a Karalie... which really wasn't much help at all. If she was lucky, someone would notice and take pity on her. Normally she wouldn't hesitate to ask, but everyone seemed so focused... she didn't want to interrupt. She was learning all too quickly how hard studying really was.
She pulled out her phone, checking the time to find that she was 5 minutes early, so there was a decent chance that her tutor wasn't even here yet... That in mind she hesitantly took a seat at an empty table, still glancing around and feeling extremely out of place.
Corrine really hoped that her tutor got here soon.
