Paul posted a note in the boys' bathroom. The note read:
Paul was sitting alone at a booth. He was waiting for his blind date to show. His mind was racing. So many questions. What if no one was going to show? Did anyone see his note? Did people took it as a joke? Did Paul picked a bad place for blind date? The main reason Paul pick a place that wasn't in Pilot Ridge was because he didn't want to risk running to his friends or his family. What if someone was coming? How would Paul know who was his blind date? It was a blind date. Paul knew nothing of the person who was coming if he was even coming. Paul couldn't remember exactly what he wrote on his note. He didn't remember if he wrote his name or not. Crap. Why? Why? WHY? Why did Paul do this? Why did he listen to Ashlee? Maybe Paul should bail. But what if the guy showed up and Paul wasn't here. What if Paul didn't like him? What if things worked out? Actually, that would be really great.
From the booth Paul could see the door. Paul had thought about switching to the other side of the booth, so he couldn't watch the door. But he stayed in his seat watching the door. Paul hoped that what he was wearing was okay. He had on a red polo shirt with the button undone, shorts, and sneakers. His mother did complimented him when she as him. She thought that Paul looked very nice today. And she thought Paul was hanging out with friends and not going on a blind date. Paul may had fudge the truth some.
"Are you ready to order?" Paul was brought out of his thoughts. He looked up at the waitress. She had placed a glass of ice water on the table for Paul. She had her little notepad and pencil at the ready to take his order.
"Uh, I'm, um, waiting for someone."
"Okay. Would you like me to start get something, so when your friend gets here the food would ready?"
That was idea. Order and the food would be ready when he got here. But Paul didn't know what he would like. Paul could see it now. Paul ordered a hamburger for him and then found he was vegan or something. That would not be a good first impression. "No, that's okay."
"Alright, if you change your mind let me know." The waitress said with smile and left.
Paul took a sip of water. His million of questions were taking over his mind again. Movement by the door catch Paul's attention. The door opened and someone came in. Was it Paul's blind date?
