Papers in the wind (open)

Salem groaned as he pulled himself from the classroom. His head was swimming a little because he didn't understand half of what had been said. It was math however, and that always made his head swim a little. Well, a lot actually. Another groan escaped his lips as his small bookbag slid from his shoulder and landed on the floor, spilling it's contents everywhere. It really had not been the best of weeks. Between looking for a new place to live and his very hectic schedule, Salem was slowly losing it.

"Great." He grumbled as he started shoving things back in his bag. "What next, a hurricane?" The young blonde man instantly regretted this statement, for a little gust of wind kicked up and started to blow his loose papers around. Most of which were for classes later that day. "Crap!" He fumed and bounded up after them, managing to snatch a few before they slipped away. 

Grabbing the last paper, he slumped against the closest wall and started to shuffle things back into place. It was only then that he realized one of his most important papers was missing. In a panic, he jumped up and started to look, getting dangerously close to the stairs and not paying the slightest bit of attention.

Lip’s marketing class had just ended, thank god. He liked the class, but his professor could just talk and talk and talk for hours. He was unlucky enough to get the 9:30am slot, so he was practically asleep by the time he actually sat down in his desk, and his professor’s rambling habit did not help wake him up.

But now it was over, and Lip was finally able to get his much needed cup of coffee. He’d been running late this morning, and had barely managed to sneak inside the room before class started, which meant he didn’t get a chance to buy any before. So he was basically like a zombie during the whole class.

He was happy now though, holding the warm cup in his hand. It was fucking freezing outside, and Lip really wished he’d worn a heavier jacket. The coffee was helping though; he figured he’d probably be warm by the time he was done with it. And it wasn’t like he was spending the whole day outside.

He had some time in between his marketing class and his calculus class, so he was on his way to the cafeteria to get something to eat, his nose in his phone, of course. Lip was pretty good at navigating through the flood of students while still texting and browsing social media. And right now, there were hardly any students on the quad, so he figured he’d be golden.

That was, until something literally smacked him in the face. It startled him, and Lip almost dropped his phone on the ground. “…the fuck?” Lip managed to shove his phone into his back pocket, finally freeing up a hand to grab whatever had flown into his face. It was a piece of paper, some kind of homework assignment. And with a quick look around, Lip easily found its owner.

The guy looked frenzied, so Lip could only assume this paper was for something important. “Hey!” He said, walking toward him. “I…uhh…caught your paper.” With his face.
