Calling all members! We need your nominations for the Of The Month awards! Have you seen an awesome character lurking the forums? How about a thread you just can’t stop reading? Or a journal you keep coming back to? Nominate it here! We’re looking for nominations for all categories:

Character of the Month – Straightforward. Nominate the character you think deserves it for this month. Who was awesome? Who did something significant? As of now, Elsinore's, Abe's, Doro's, Cat's, Nova's, LoveIsEnergy's, Dryope's, and Jack's characters are all off limits, as they’ve won in the past eight months.

Member of the Month – Again, pretty easy, right? Toss up the name of your favorite member. Remember, Emily, Splatt, Abe, Etch, Eva, Kelly, LoveIsEnergy, Apollo, and Jack are off-limits for nominations. So is everyone on staff.

Relationship of the Month – Anything goes here! Friends, romance, enemies, anything! You cannot nominate:

Journal of the Month – We will not be nominating for Journal OTM this month. All eligible journals will be included in the poll in four days. Eligible journals were posted in during the past month and have not won in the past eight months.

Event Thread of the Month – All Wild and Wacky Weather threads that have not yet been nominated for TOTM. (This includes November threads.)

Nomination: Elanora Brennan
Reasons: Piffle is the newest person on the block, but she's already jumped in with both feet. More importantly, her character is engaging and wonderful. I've always had a soft spot for characters whose powers can't be turned off, or who are worsened by circumstance, and there's little that's worse for a meta sensor who can't control her powers than to be surrounded by other metas all of the time. Everyone should find a reason to have a thread with Elanora.

Reasons: Doro has taken control of this winter break to reintroduce all of her wonderful characters, and to make at least a dozen open threads. We need open threads and plotting opportunities, and everyone needs to write with Doro.

Nomination: Marnie Sullivan and Nora Marie Gwinn - Friends
Reasons: Their friendship makes me laugh, and, sometimes, we all need to laugh. Etch and Ellie write masterful interplay between the two of them, and impressionable, well-meaning but overly excitable Marnie can be talked into so much by her friends; Nora Marie is just the person to talk her into anything. Read along with their tree lot adventure.

Reasons: We need more petty enemies; Hammel is a middle school and high school, chock full of teenagers from all over who don't always get along. This thread also makes me laugh; the dialogue and interplay are so natural and filled with childish animosity.

Nomination: WWW: Watch Out!
Reasons: There is no such thing as too many Muppet-like near-miss car accident threads, only too few. Thankfully, Izy and Nova took this thread direction in the best way possible - serious and yet entertaining. It's an excuse to read Idalia (en route to be the most important person in Pilot Ridge during a snow storm) cope with the fact that she almost killed a nineteen year old, and for Cade to deal with the fact that he was almost hit by that woman from the weather channel.

Reasons: Through finals this month Deb has still managed to grace a thread of mine with this fine lady's presence. It takes a good, dedicated individual and character to put up with Penny and Lucy and still own a moment like Carleigh manages to in the thread I have with her. And it's always good to watch a character's journey from the high school to real life evolve, given how many drop off right after their grad. I love the fact that she's come out of graduation with zero plans for her life and is just kind of... Trying to make the ends meet on her onesies. Hanging around is hard when plots and various characters fall to the wayside as time passes, to I commend this one for sticking around.

Reasons: I think anyone who manages to keep a board kicking through sheer willpower deserves such a title. December is always a slow month, but it isn't hard to catch Pheli powering on with her tribe of babies. She's always down for threads with people. Always keen for chats in the cbox. She's got the kind of patience with people that's hard to match, too, and she perseveres with people when I'd have given up ages ago.

Reasons: For me, it's always a privilege to write with Eddie and Sai. Clearly, they have great chemistry together as writers and it shows between Lucy and Penny. Every thread that I have been a part of with them has always been a favourite, and I love the dynamic between not only my character's interactions with them, but them as a couple. I stalk all their threads and follow along their plots, because it's enjoyable to read and each post leaves me wanting more. I love it, I love them. I'm just a huge fan and highly recommend to everyone else to follow along their plots as well.
