Wanted: The Knight Family

Hey gang, so I've had this idea for a while of making a "Hammel Grandma" and I wanted to gauge the interest of creating another large family.

The character I'd like to make is:


Name: Gladys Knight
Playby: Toni Morrison or Nichelle Nichols
Age: Late 60's

But I have this idea that she has a TON of grand kids because her son has a TON of kids kinda like the Bishop Family. 

So here's some ideas I got (nothing is set in stone):

Grandma Knight was a student at Hammel, and then a teacher there until she retired.
Her son also works at Hammel (i'm thinking a trainer maybe?)
Her son was an only child because of complications with his birth. He married a woman who was also and only child. Both of them wanted a large family. 
Her daughter in law works as a counselor at the LGBT center.
She has 12 grand kids ranging from age 27-13, with perhaps a set of twins.
Grandma Knight always wanted a big family, so she loves having so many grand kids. Family is important to her and she helped out A LOT with the raising of each kid. 
Gladys' husband is also up for grabs if anyone is interested.

So anyone interested? I would love for people to help me develop this family together!

Similarly to Lux, I wouldn't mind, and would like to, if I can, aid in the process of this families creatiooooon. But and if and when I make a charrie, it may be one of the younger kids (hammel age) so yeah just thought I'd get that written down.

I think we should get a timeline out to see what we're looking at. I also think It should be a little more spread out in terms of ages. Like not once a year like the Bishops. Maybe we should have it a bit sporadic but still relatively close together?

Family Back-story:
Grandma was born in raised in the south (NC or GA) However she stayed in the Pilot Ridge area after going to Hammel and became a teacher there. Her son, traveled for a bit after his own graduation and met a girl in Spain. The two fell in love, got married, and started having kids. When the oldest Knight child started to manifest the family moved back to Pilot Ridge because the father wanted his kids to go to Hammel. The family still vacation often in Spain and stays in touch with their mother's side of the family there. The siblings are all bilingual. Grandma has a heck of a time with Spanish (she still has a thick southern accent.)

Additional info:
Not all of the Knights need to be powered, but they can be.
Their mother is Hispanic. Some siblings take more after her. Some take more after their father.
The Knights ages are a bit spread out, not necessarily once kid per year.

Update for more ideas: (again none of these are completely set in stone)

The mother of the Knight's dozen is non-powered. This helps to explain why the decision to return to Hammel was important and agreed upon.
Not all of the siblings are powered
Gladys is 69 and had her son at age age 23. So he should be 46 (or there abouts).
Of course the Knights and the Bishops are aware of each other. And I'm assuming have a sort of "my huge family is the best, but we still love you cuz you understand" relationship.

Okay, so we talked about this in the chat a bit, but I'm dropping the idea in here so it's on record and stuff.

The twins should be one meta, one nonmeta. Aged 19? Optimal twin feels and non/powered envy dynamics? Kids in a big family trying to find that line where adulthood starts. Yes.

Tempted to claim the nonpowered one? But I'd probably like to discuss it with whoever wants to take the other twin as I'd like to work together with someone on development of the twins' dynamics if I'm to do this. Once I get Kaylee active I'll be more certain of what's going on c:

Again this is just a suggested list, but I think it'd be helpful so people know what order their claim would be in. Obviously the suggested playbys aren't set in stone, but I do feel strongly about some of them. The same goes for the names of the unclaimed siblings.

So I was planning on creating a new student soon, and it just so happens that I think she'd fit into the Knight hoard very well.

I was hoping to make a 13-14 year old girl who is deaf, named Morgan Josephine (or something similar so she can have the nickname 'Mo-Jo') and will only have recently manifested a still undecided ability. That being said if you like the idea, most or all of the Knights would have learned sign language.

Oh and the playby was going to be Sidney Park.

If you don't like the idea of having a deaf sibling that's fine, just let me know

I'd be down for creating a character in this family

If nobody minds, I'd like to make a 24 year old (or 25. Whatever works better!) named Destiny Knight (playby Arlenis Sosa) with omnilingualism as her ability, which in this family would be convenient. She'd probably be working towards becoming a language teacher at Hammel.

That sounds great Deb. I'm thinking that Desiree and Destiny will either be very close friends, or very competitive. Being that they are close in age and have similar names so people may think they are another set of twins.

Also, I put suggested two male playbys on two of the ages (and made a 12 year old) just to keep the balance. Also keep in mind that one of the unclaimed age slots should be twins.

I would love to see one or more non-powered siblings.

As more people are starting their apps, I may fill in the blank slots with ages/genders/and possibly names/abilities. Just so that the siblings that are created will be able to use it for their apps.

Honestly, I'm very tempted by this! I'd like to make a non powered grandchild. I have a few ideas in my head and will talk to you more about them later.
