It was late and Jason needed to unwind, it's been too long since he's been able to dance and let loose. Wearing a black Yankee fitted, a black tank top, loose blue jeans, and Nike sneakers he laid back on his dorm room couch looking up at the ceiling. He was bored, with a sigh he took out his Iphone he saw that it was already 10:25 P.M. Jason decided it was about time to head to the auditorium for a private late night session.
He knew no one would be there at this late hour, it was the best opportunity. Jason put on a black hoodie, grabbed his camo backpack, threw it over his left shoulder and exited his dorm room. He quietly made his way through the building trying not to draw any attention to where he was going. It was a crystal clear night, the stars shimmered overhead as he strolled through campus passing the library, offices, and classrooms. The campus was much quieter at night with no one running to their classes, much more peaceful. A slight gust of wind picked up and Jason put up his hood to break the chill of the breeze. Finally, he reached the auditorium, he look to his left, then right, and looked over his shoulder to see if there was anyone watching him as he approached the auditorium doors, the coast was clear. To his luck the doors were not locked and he pushed them open with ease.
He entered the auditorium searching for the stage; it was pitch black, all the lights were off as he stumbled through the building. Jason took out his Iphone to light his path using his flashlight app, it was the best way to make sure he didn’t clumsy break anything. With such a miniature light though, the room was dully lit but was enough to locate the stage. Jason hopped up onto the hardwood stage and headed to the backstage to find a light switch. Instead, he manage to stumble upon the stage controls full of switches and buttons galore. His eyes brightened like a kid in a candy store as he began to mess with auditorium controls. Randomly sliding switches up, turning knobs, and pressing buttons somehow turned on the stage lights. Neon lights flashed and shine downward in a rainbow of reds, blues, yellows and purples. Jason smiled and nodded in self satisfaction. The auditorium was still in complete darkness, but it didn't matter, the lights on stage were more than enough.
Placing his camo backpack gently on the ground the bent down to unzip it. He placed his hand in to reveal his blue wireless Beats By Dre Pill. He placed it carefully on the ground and turned it on making sure the volume was maxed out. Scrolling through his Iphone he chose Boneless by Steve Aoki and let the music play.
He got into starting position with his left hand on his Yankee fitted and waited for the beat to drop. He began to pop and lock, gliding on the smooth hardwood floor, first gliding on his tiptoes in a circular pattern and then on his knees back up again to his feet. The stage lights seem to strobe and flicker to the beat. With the beat still bumping in the background he began to top rock along with some foot work into a six step, he began to do windmills into airflares, and stopped with a one handed freeze. He paused for a moment during his freeze and looked out into the darkness of the auditorium envisioning his own audience. He smiled; growing up he was always pretty good at breakdancing, he had a lot of down time to practice, but with his powers his body felt weightless.
