Serena is extremely committed to people she calls her friends. She thinks people are important and does whatever she can to make her friends feel better, have fun, solve struggles (and sometimes she gets taken advantage of in the process). Romance:

Serena's affection for (male) friends can go all the way. She is often more than willing to be "friends with benefits" with her male friends (and not usually limiting it to one boy at a time). She finds it a great way to express how much she values her friendship with them.

For the last five years, she always would say (and believed) that she didn't believe in love. However, she has started finding herself wanting (or perhaps wanting to believe) for something like that to exist for her. She just doesn't really know how.

She is still very much open sexually and up for any friends-with-benefits relationships, but other avenues may be able to be pursued.

Friends:

Friends don't come easy for Cade. Most would call him introverted. He actually isn't, but he is so undeveloped socially that you wouldn't know most of the time upon first meeting. Insecure about himself and his capabilities as a person, he tends to hide or avoid others in hopes that he won't be criticized for not being good at what he wants to do.

Romance:

Cade is searching for the one perfect girl, but is too afraid to act on anything. Not just a virgin, but celibate, Cade doesn't want to (and is rather afraid to) have sex before he is married to a girl. He is classically romantic in every sense, believing in candlelight dinners, and a car ride to a nice spot to be together (though he has too little money to make either of those happen).

If he were to find himself in a relationship with a girl, he would do absolutely everything in his power for her. She's be a princess to him and treated as such in every way, all of the time.

Enemies:

Cade likely makes enemies fairly easily. If you don't act well toward him or his characters or would have bullied him when he was younger, or otherwise don't respond to his lack of social interactions, it is possible for many disliking him other otherwise.

Emerald is cheery to a fault, and can be very innocent. She loves making friends, but can be a little fluttery and hard to truly bond with.  She's very good for raising spirits but has a hard time relating to problems other people are facing that she hasn't. Very friendly overall, but can make friendships difficult if not careful.

Romance:

Burned by the breakup with her ex-fiance a couple of years ago, Emerald's heart is wounded but still ready and willing to go. (She just can't let it go because she doesn't know what she did wrong. It's kind of an issue.) Can casually sleep around (with both genders), especially after drinking, but strives to have a meaningful relationship. Won't sleep around when committed to dating a person. Loves the non-bed aspects of relationships, prefers them actually. (Dinners; occasional movie; picnics; cuddling)

Enemies:

Emerald is incapable of standing up for herself or others, and is really only able to ever find enough strength to discipline a class. She could easily make an enemy if she shares a secret (that she didn't realize needed to be kept secret) or simply by being "too cheery" or "too disconnected".

His looks, his talk, just personality, gave him a lot of superficial friends when he was younger and at Hammel. Now, just making ends meet with a disabled right arm, trying just to continue with life, none of those friends are really around anymore. He's looking to start making real connections now.

If anyone wants to be someone who knew him while at Hammel or is new, he's prime and desperate for anyone.

Romance:

Though he was also quite the ladies' man, the relationships would end fast and in tatters. Unwilling to give himself fully to a person, he'd rather have some fun, sleep around, then meet someone who wanted more than that. Afraid of putting himself on the line, trying to take it beyond a physical, basic, friendly relationship would take a lot.

Looking for any flings or casual romantic relationships. He's also open for long-term romantic plots, but obviously it would depend on threading.

Enemies:

Any Hammel kids who disliked the jock type guys would probably associate Kal with them even if he never did anything to them. Anyone who doesn't like the disabled for some reason (or someone who goes "woe is me" about it) would probably fall in here as well.

So, I have Zo who pretty much shares Serena's view on love. She actually recently made an attempt to do the whole relationship love thing and got majorly burned so she's been on a bit of a partying bender to numb the pain... Anyway, meeting someone else who shares her view of love being a sham and hookups being the way to go could be good for her. She also is bi so if Serena ever did want to explore that aspect, I'm happy to volunteer Zo for that. But no pressure. Otherwise she might get occasionally flirty, but they could just be friends.

Hey, that sounds like it'd be fun. Serena will definitely need spontaneous girls to be friends with. Plus, I kinda want Serena to end up doing a lot of things that could get her in trouble to kinda mess with her character a bit, and it sounds like Zo would end up leading to that. And Zo can flirt with her if she wants; Serena would probably notice most of the time, maybe do it back in a friendly way sometimes; but definitely wouldn't be exploring it right now.

If you want to assume they've met in the bit of time Serena's been at the school, we can thread them doing something if you want, I'm open to ideas if you have any.

Yeah, Zo would definitely push some limits alright. She's big into a lot of things that involve fake IDs, especially now that she's pretty much doing anything she can avoid her emotions. Partying, going to bars, drinking, smoking, sneaking out past curfew... Zo definitely gets into trouble. She probably even would get into a fight given the right circumstances... that might have to be arranged somehow...

Anywho, back on topic. Zo professes to not care about anyone, now more than ever, but she is pretty protective of the people she considers hers and depending on how they meet and their dynamic, Serena could definitely become that. If nothing else, Zo would at least enjoy corrupting her a bit.

Zo is fine with friendly flirting and she wouldn't push anything. If later down the road Serena is ready to explore that, I'd be up for maybe plotting that out, and if not, that is totally fine too.

As for a thread, I think that would be good. Zo could maybe drag her out to a party or something? I dunno. Zo is pretty much game for nearly anything. You have any ideas what would be more Serena's speed atm?

Party sounds good; corruption sounds fun (plot-wise). I think dragging her out to a party could be good for a thread. She's probably gonna be straining pretty hard against curfew and getting really antsy, so she'd get out however she can. (Her powers basically tell her "You'll sleep when you're dead", and she barely gets any of it [nor does she really need it])

She'll need a bit of coaxing and coaching though, 'cause she's generally a good girl (sexual tendencies aside). She isn't going to want to touch alcohol; so there's that too. But it all depends on how Zo sells it, haha.

Excellent! That's definitely something that Zo is good at (both partying and corruption actually lol). But I agree, that seems an excellent place to start. Would you prefer the thread start with them arriving to the party or at Zo convincing her to go out to a party? And Zo can definitely be persuasive when it comes to those sorts of things so it should be a lot of fun. Plus she'll enjoy the challenge. So yeah. You can start it if you like or if you let me know which starting point you want to go with I could start it. Totally up to you ^^
