Positive Relationships:

Ryan's shy, but it isn't too hard to get him talking about his interests. Keep him talking, and he'll warm up to others in no time. Though he has few friends, becoming one is surprisingly easy. He enjoys the company of friends, and is more than willing to lend an ear to those that need it.


He's a loyal and considerate boy who's willing to go to great lengths to help those he's fond of. Alternatively, he has trouble telling others no. Those he's grown close to can likely attest to amiable personality and witty sarcasm. Those he truly cherishes will find his solemn facade broken in their presence by smiles and gales of laughter.

Negative Relationships:

There aren't too many Ryan can say he truly dislikes. He does, however, find the drama between his classmates exhausting and tries his best to steer away from of those that create it. He rarely begrudges others, but those he has have little chance of redemption. Regardless, it rarely matters if the case arises that Ryan isn't fond of someone. He doesn't usually confront others and most often opts to ignore those he dislikes.

Those on his bad side are usually there because he trusted them too easily. He holds special distaste for egotistical and belligerent personalities, too.

Romantic Relationships:

Ryan is, putting it bluntly, a kissless virgin. It's unlikely that he'd be the first to make a move, so somebody's best approaching him if they're interested. During such occasions, he's prone to becoming flustered. He's also shy about expressing his sexuality, so it can be said that he's still “in the closet”. His fear of rejection often gets carried away, so he may become discouraged if he feels somebody isn't reciprocating his feelings.

Alternatively, he's loyal to those he cares for. One who's managed to connect to him romantically needs not worry that he may cheat. He's also fairly affectionate.

Current Relationships:

• Marley Rose: Roommate. Acquaintance. She fusses a fair bit, but Ryan sees she means well.
  
• Elina Harte: Roommate. Acquaintance. Avoided by Ryan; he observes her as being selfish.
  
• Tristan Hayes: Roommate. Acquaintance. Though quiet and melancholy, Ryan finds them pleasant.

Ryan&Greg
First thing that struck me when checking Ryan’s profile was the boy was Canadian too. Greg’s one of those Canadians that think Canada’s way better than the US, and if he ever stumbles upon a fellow Canadian, he’d so be feeling the kinship. He won’t be shouting “CANA-DUH!” every time he sees the other boy across the hall, but I have a feeling he’d immediately warm up to Ryan. Canucks have to stick together right?
With that out of the way, I think Ryan and Greg have the potential to be good friends. Greg likes to believe he’s sarcastic and witty, and his extroversion is not too over-the-top excitable and bubbly to potentially put off Ryan. (He might make a comment or two about his hair and his supposed lack of a soul though, should he run out of jokes to say and feel lazy).

George is my resident lunatic, and she's getting better at befriending different types of people. She also used to be really good friends with another boy who had the surname McCarthy, so just a heads up - she will probably ask about that. She can be a bit of a geek, obsessed with the internet and such, and so also adores Pokemon (I know you said he isn't open about it... but yeah, thought I'd throw that in too) Also, she's from England. Their dorms are next-door to each other, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were already friends, and if not, that they at least knew each other already. So yeah. I throw her at everyone.

Simply put, Terrence is the school's librarian, and Ryan likes books. If he needs help finding something, Terr is your guy. Terrence has also made it his responsibility to make friends with any students who regularly visit the library, so this is another case where they might already know each other. Up to you, really. Terrence is a shy lad, bless his soul, so their similar personalities could mean that they could be quite relatable, I dunno.

Gryphoooooon!! Very optimistic seeming, smiles practically all the time (unless something is wrong - you can always tell when something is wrong with him) and he is undeniably loyal and caring to those he likes/knows/is affectionate towards. Very giving and friendly, so he wouldn't shy away from being friendly at the opportunity. He loves nature and the outdoors, and likes taking pictures of nature so yeah, they could meet while he's doing that or something, you tell me xD He's also gay, but has a boyfriend and is undoubtedly out of the closet. He's a fair few years older than Ryan, and (I don't know Ryan's personal preferences, but) he's often referred to as good looking, so yup. I dunno, I'd love to see an awkward dynamic between the two of them or something. Yep.

Also, his boyfriend is possessive and aggressive. So that's fun. Yep.

He's French (languages yay) and he loves to constantly stir up drama, ignorant and uncaring to its emotional effect on others. Don't know exactly how this could/would roll out, but if you want someone for Ryan to hate... *points at Theo*

Ryan & Mathis:Bio OHHO! Another shy toy for Mathis? He does love shy toys. Actually Mathis likes everyone and I can see him glomping onto your poor, red headed boy like a leech. Mathis is into anime and such so /I/ wouldn't be surprised if he liked Pokemon.. Also. Mathis is an extremely active person so he may run into Ryan ((possibly literally if you'd like)) while out jogging and decide to stick around because it's a cool power and plants are fun and is your hair naturally red? ....They can possibly bond over being kissless virgins though? Yes? Maybe?

Hey Apple! No worries about the writing – you've been really informative! Out of all the characters you've listed, I think Ryan and George would get along best. She seems like she'd be a bit of a foil for Ryan. God knows that he needs friends like her, and that she has interests similar to him would definitely help with opening him up. I'm up for friendship between the two – it would definitely be convenient with their dorms being beside each other. We should get a thread going between the two! I think they'd be acquaintances this far, at least. Terrance seems like he'd be a good friend for Ryan too, but getting the two to open up might be a challenge!

Gryph would definitely fluster Ryan if they were affectionate towards him, and seeing reactions from the boyfriend could prove entertaining! I'm not sure what would become of them f they met up, but I'm definitely willing to test the waters, haha. A positive relationship with Theo however, is unlikely. If he's stirring up drama, chances are Ryan's already wary of them. If they ever wind up stuck together, well, t would be interesting.

I'm willing to bet that Ryan could be sucked into watching anime, but even getting him to admit he still plays Pokemon might be difficult? Then again... Who's to say he'd have to admit it? The evidence would be clear if he dropped his Nintendo DS after Mathis ran into him, hehe. Meeting outside seems likely – let me know if you want to start something up! This seems like it'd be an interesting scenario!
