This music teacher's life has been somewhat of a downward spiral recently, but luckily you can't go anywhere but up when you've hit rock bottom. After losing his niece to cancer, and coming to terms with his alcohol dependency, Gabe is looking to pick himself back up and get clean. Maybe not for himself, but for a certain blond that's been on his mind. Despite his troubles, Gabe does his best to put on the bravest of faces during school hours, though its getting tougher to keep up the facade.

Though her degenerative muscle disease progressively worsening, this spitfire is never one to turn away from a challenge or adventure. Not much scares her, but the prospect of being a full-time adult is probably the most terrifying thing this blonde can imagine.

Instead of studying with goals of graduating high school, Max spends his free time bumming cigarettes from locals and making shady deals on the streets. He does so quietly, which is easy when you can hear everything around you, but the fact is that his choices have been more than questionable. Extremely intelligent, but failing most of his classes, Max has lost sight of himself and has all but forgotten the goals he once had. His anger boils over with little warning, and has landed him in detention more than he'd ever admit to his mother. After all, the only thing that seems to matter to him is his family.

It's hard to believe this young, energetic, comic book loving child has trouble making friends, but fact is the difficulty communicating with a hearing world is too much for the 14 year old to handle most days. While 'Mojo' is extremely friendly, she certainly has trouble making friends. But once you've figured out how to talk to her, Mojo will be one of the most funny, optimistic, and loyal friend you could have. Mojo likes dancing and writing and eating and cartoons and the list goes on and on! Having just started her freshman year at Hammel, will Mojo finally be able to find a place to fit in?
